"Katarina is starting her season in Auckland on 31th of December. The tournament she already won in 2005 is one of her favourites. Before the start of Australian Open she will also compete in Sydney. After AO she will skip the Fed Cup clashes to prepare for the upcoming tournaments. She also decided not to take part of Olympics in Peking. She knows that she hasn't got much chances to be a medalist, the only result that means something in that competition. Also the schedule at that part of the year is very tight and traveling from U.S. to China and then back to States for US Open would be too tiring."
