Looks like Eva Birnerova isn't gonna give up juniors until she wins something big, its her last year and she's going for 3 straight years in top 10.

others move on, Eva is more comfortable in this arena.

she recently played in the National Champ in Japan,
i think she lost in the round of 16 and was youngest
among the 16 which includes Asagoe and Fujikawa......
but she wasnt really known before Osaka Cup

the names or birthdays........

TheBoiledEgg

In the "Boiled Ova's" recap above are @ least 2 former regular doubles teams. Can anyone name them?

*JR*
Dec 24th, 2002, 01:54 PM
Hate to answer my own "trivia question", but it's an old thread and the teams weren't exactly Raymond/Stubbs. One is Brie Rippner and Melissa Middleton (in the WTA @ least), the other Matea Mezak and Jelena Jankovic. (There could be others). BTW, B4 she lost most of '02 to injury, Matea spanked Kirsten Flipkens, right? Do you think the Belgian gets added attention due to the phenomenon of Kimmy and Juju emerging from such a small country around the same time?

TBE, are you sure??
i'm confused now... cos i have the record of junior grand slam that Hingis won.... and they are 93 and 94 Rolland Garros and 94 Wimbledon.

Yay for Sacha Jones! Although its still hard to believe that Marina Erakovic got to a career high ranking (in juniors) of 5 yet she didnt win any G1 or GA events in singles. She was a multiple GA winner in doubles (including Wimbledon, US Open)
