Schnyder and Moore announced retirements last week

Petrova and Myskina have been retired

With those 4 gone it left 36 players, so decided to get rid of PC players and have 32 player draw :)

Nikki is still having problems with the shoulder but hopefully she can win a few rounds and not serve 20 dfs like she did against Golovin at Stuttgart.

Nikki needs to learn how to perform well consistently especially at tier 1's. At least next season she can gain a lot of points since this season she has lost early at Doha, Dubai Miami, Charleston, Rome, Berlin, Montreal, New Haven, Tokyo, Stuttgart and Wimbledon. Not to mention she didn't play Gold Coast. Wow  That is a lot of 1st and 2nd round losses. How in the hell is Nikki number 2 in the world? :tape:

Nicole Vaidisova Is Still Hampered By Shoulder Injury

http://www.nicole-vaidisova.org/gallery/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=3853&g2_serialNumber=1

In a press conference earlier today, one of OWTT's biggest stars Nicole Vaidisova spoke about her shoulder injury. Despite feelings of hope that her shoulder had improved, Vaidisova told reporters that she still felt pain and her serving so far in practice has been nothing short of poor. Although injured Vaidisova hopes to put together a few wins and boost her waning confidence. Her serve may not be up to par but Vaidisova is never short on heart and aims to deliver in her first round match against the feisty Russian Dinara Safina.

In unrelated news Nicole Vaidisova has mended fences with fellow players Tatiana Golovin and Serena Williams while refocusing her anger toward world number one and world class whiner Elena Dementieva. Vaidisova had the following words to say on the matter, "I'm sure everyone is shocked that I am ending my feud with Golovin. The truth of the matter is that we are both so much alike that there was bound to be friction between us. We are both young, beautiful, and most importantly we both want to be the HBIC."

When asked by one of the reporters to explain what HBIC stood for, Vaidisova laughed and said "It's urban slang for Head Bitch In Charge. Many people don't know this but I spent a summer in Baltimore during my early teenage years. That's actual how I met my current coach Justin. We dated briefly. Before Radek and I got together I had always preferred my coffee black so of course Justin and I clicked. Back then I was a thug and to this day I wont hesitate to get gangsta when necessary. But anyway, Justin and I ran into each other a year or so ago. I needed a coach and he need a player so we decided to team up. As far as Golovin is concerned we had something else in common, our hatred of Jessica Moore. To be honest I hated Jessica but the poor girl looked up to me so much that I tried to spare her feelings. However it was getting tiring carrying her ass in doubles and defending her poor tennis skills to other players.. Its no secret she had a 2-0 record against me. She wasn't winning many other matches so I took pity on her and tanked so she could at least end the season with two wins. I'm glad she quit and not the least bit surprised. She wasn't good enough to make waves on tour. Since our first Jessica Moore hating session, Tati and I have really bonded bonded. Serena and I aren't exactly best friends now but it was pointless carrying on a feud with someone who I have so much respect for. I called to congratulate her on her first tier 1 title last night. On the topic of Dementieva, I wish she would shut the hell up about Dechy. We get it Lena, she beat you because of a lucky netcord but I recall Lena winning a handful matches because of netcords, choking from opponents when serving out the match in a third set, and bribing line judges. This is tennis anything can happen so suck it up and move on.

When asked if she had resolved things with Davenport, Vaidisova responed, "I wanted to but visitor hours at the seniors home were over."

Caroline finally gets her win

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2091/2376324808_92d269391b.jpg?v=0

After 2 looses to Jelena Jankovic in straight sets, it seems that Caroline was Jelenaís bitch. But the youngster finally turns the heat here in Moscow, as she beats the Serb 0-6 6-3 and 6-1.
ďWow! I finally find the way to beat her. I wasnít please to see my name beside Jankovicís one when the draw was released. Right now, I am released. I have a great win under my belt and it gives more confidence. I played a great match against Jelena and I dominated her. I really imposed my rhythm. Unfortunately, I choked my first set, I mean, I was stressed to play against her and she was ready to kick my ass. I calmed down in the second and began to make her play and it worked. Next for me is Lindsay Davenport. I havenít played against her yet and I donít know her game plan but Iíll fight for every point and Iíll make everything to walk away with the victory.Ē said Wozniacki.

Serena continues her hot streak, extending it to 13 matches. Only Peer has done better, at 14 matches. Davenport started strongly, but then Serena really stepped things up nicely.

Tremendous fighting from the world #1. She came beack from 4-2 down in the first, and 5-3 down in the decider to win both those sets. Dulko will kick herself at not closing thsi one out, but Dementieva hung tough. Dementieva moves onto her 7th OWTT final, and is 5-1 in her previous finals.

From 0-6 3-3 Serena really stepped it up and found her best tennis, winning 9 in a row to take the match. She is 2-1 in finals so far, but that loss came early on in the season. She is now on a 14 match win streak. Can she do what Peer couldn't by winning her 15th in a row and her 3rd consecutive title? The world #1 stands in her way.

Wow!! Serena wins her 15th match in a row, bringing with it her 3rd consecutive title, breaking the record set by Peer earlier in the season. Dementieva won atight opening set before Serena really stepped things up and came through with ease in the end. She is looking unbeatable at the moment. The thing I love about Serena is that she is a true champion, always looking for things to improve. Each of her 3 titles have been won with 3 different sets of points :yeah: She will be looking to continue her hot form in Quebec City next week. Dementieva seems back on track though reaching the finals for the first time in a while. Who will stop Serena?!

Shahar Peer's coach, Coach Spice is recovering at Kaiser Permanente after a tragic window accident.

Shahar Peer's coach is in the hospital after throwing himself out his bedroom window after Serena Williams defeated Elena Dementieva for a record 15 consecutive wins and 3 titles. Shahar was the former record holder with 14 wins and 2 titles. When reporters got there, Shahar Peer was talking with a doctor and we got the inside scoop.

"Doctor: He's doing fine. Just some minor scraps on his elbows. He's lucky he lives in a one story building or he could've really hurt himself. He should be due back to coaching Shahar in no time."

Meanwhile, Serena Williams continues to be unstoppable both on the court and the buffet. Congrats Serena!

Queen Ree reigns on OWTT ; 15 wins in a row

http://www.sun-sentinel.com/media/photo/2008-04/37508395.jpg

Serena has been the target of many bitchy attacks during all season long, particularly since Wimbledon but recently, these girls who tended to trash talk about her just shut up their fu*king mouth since the Olympics. A fully commited Serena answered to them by displaying the most impressive tennis that any girl has displayed since the beginning of the season.

Let's go back to three weeks ago, we are in Beijing, at the Olympics and Serena is seeded 7th. Serena was motivated as hell, still trying to win a first title, it was the debut of her great streak, she outplayed over everybody, maybe except Tatiana Golovin who gave the most challenge to Serena, Queen Ree still gave up 0 set en route to her first title. Iveta Benesova got ass whooped 6-0 6-0 in first round

Serena then went to Stuttgart in Germany with much pressure on her shoulder as she finally showed up all her potentiel in Beijing. Serena had a pretty kind draw, except her first round match in which she had to face her older sister Venus, she left her emotions off the court for less than an hour and thrashed her. Her road to the final was pretty routine and she beat Dechy in final. Iveta Benesova got destroyed 6-1 6-0 in QFS

Next tournament for Serena was Moscow. Pressure really was there, after ten wins in a row, expectations jsut kept growing. Except a scare in first round against the Sniff Miss, Martina Hingis, Serena was never in real trouble, she went in the final agaisnt the world number one, having a chance of breaking Shahar Peer's record of 14 wins in a row and she jumped on this opportunity, making it a third title in a row and a 15th win a row. Iveta Benesova got demolished 6-0 6-1 in first round

After winning the Moscow crown, Serena said "it's amazing, some weeks ago, I was asking myself if I was doing the right thing, I wasn't sure if tennis really was the thing I should do. I just gave it a second try and worked my ass off and I got where I always hoped I would be since the beginning of the season... but if you want to work your ass off, you nedd an ass, sorry Iveta! I was waiting for a first title and to get three in a row is an unbelievable feeling!"

When she was asked to talk about the new record of 15 wins in a row she just set after her win over Elena Dementieva, she said "Well it's just a little plus. Shahar will be a bit dissapointed, but I mean, records are there to be beaten, the record I presently am setting will probably be beaten one day.... hopefully by me again."

Tati has a beautiful nose in this game:) Anyway, you should be grateful I let you win that game, it was a very generous thing to do, too bad Tati got injured against Serena otherwise she'd win this title...oh well:awww:

well i heard stories that Serena is on a winning streak only because she threatens her opponents, that if they win she would sit on them and then eat them:scared:

now that's an interesting theory...Tatiana lost twice in a row to Serena now, "choking" both matches plus she refused to comment anything...:scared::unsure:

Uranium

well Serena probably didn't need to threaten Tati, Tati just sucks and Serena could whoop her ass any day

Iveta was still having traumatic experiences from Serena sitting on her:(, she wasn't 100% mentally
