Which British girl (if any) has the best chance of winning a round at wimbledon?

Here are their first round matches;
E. Baltacha .vs. A. Kerber
M. South .vs. A. Bondarenko (28)
K. O'brien .vs. S. Peer (25)
N. Cavaday .vs. V. Williams (7)
A. Keothavong .vs. V. King

O'Brien and Baltacha.

I don't think Anne will get through. Vania is tough.

You know, Anne could make the second round, I think she is actually ranked higher than Vania just now. But it seems too good to be true so she will probably flame out big style.

poor cavaday. no one is backing her

embrace the experience naiomi, its not everyday that you get to open play on centre court against the defending champion

Vania is very underrated. On grass she can be a threat, and as much as I like Anne, i don't see her winning that one.

Baltacha has the best chance IMO.

They will all lose in first round;)

Baltacha and Keothavong have the best chance

keothavong is playing someone in the top 100, so she will obviously lose. cavaday, o'brien and south are all playing seeds and will lose. baltacha has the best chance, but will still lose

I vote for Katie OŽBrien, because Peer has very bad season and i think, the grass is not her favourite surface...but a big chance to go through has also keothavong, but she needs to do her best.good luck ;)

I'd say Keothavong!

I think Bally has the best chance but Anne and Katie are decent shots for a win.

Naomi, ummm no. She never gets any luck with the draws.

Mel? Possibley but not likley.

Horrid draws.

Sad to say they will all be out before Second round :(

It's the old(er) guard's turn to shine. Anne and Bally.

I want Anne to win. I hope the rest win.

I feel bad for Mel who had that great run at Birmingham but gets a really hard draw in the shape of Alona Bondarenko. If Anne plays well I'd give her a good chance against Vania.

And Katie if she plays at the top of her game might just be able to upset Peer who has had a disappointing year and doesn't like the grass anyway. I'm not sure whether Katie believes in herself enough to finish it off though.

Kerber came close to making the QFs in Rosmalen this week. I don't think Bally has a chance.

Europe rocks

Bally - her back will mess up or she's gonna get another injury
Mel - mental blow out
Katiepegs - double faults her way out of the event
Naomi - have fun!
Anne - should win, won't win
