Safina despite her 'I hate grass' attitude. She should be able to handle all these players on grass.

I'm thinking the same thing. Although I also give Srebotnik a shot.

I would dare to say Yanina... but after the weeks she's had, I expect a first or second round exit...
So my guess would be either Srebotnik, or Kateryna Bondarenko if she can continue her current form

I'll pick Elena Dementieva although it could be any number of players as its wide open.

This is really Krajicek's tournament to turn it around, she has won this tournament already two years ago with a strong field at that time.
Though I expect Dementieva or Safina to win. :)

i picked anna chakvetadze not only because she rules lol but because her half of the draw is much weaker. of the 4 players i can see winning this (anna, safina, lena d and kata) the other 3 are in the top half. i realy hope anna plays some decent tennis here because it should be more than enough to see her make the final.

It's interesting-most of the seeds here aren't great on grass. Chakvetadze is defending champ, and who knows-maybe she'll turn her year around here? I don't know why a lot of people freaked when she did badly on clay, since Anna has never done that well in previous years on clay. She seems to prefer faster surfaces.

Dementieva and Safina have great chances too, but again, they don't do that well on grass.

I would love to see either Schiavone or Kirilenko take it, but I'm not expecting either to win.

I'd love to see Klara Zakopalova win here. Previous champion and another final as well.

I'd love to see Klara Zakopalova win here. Previous champion and another final as well.

She does really seem to like this tournament as a 10-2 career record attests to.

And yet she has a pretty poor record in all other grass court competitions with a 4-8 record on non-Dutch grass. And only one win over a top 200 player on non-Dutch grass. Strange.

I think that Anna will repeat as champion. Her portion of the draw looks favorable. If she can get it together, then i like her chances of winning the tournament.

Stronger field than in Eastbourne

Eastbourne - 3 GS Champions

Rosmalen - 0 GS Champions

:p

I picked Elena D, hope she can finally get a grass title.
