Wow, she sure loves the grass. She could go deep here!

People don't giver Tanasugarn enough credit, she's a talented player.

I know that Tamira is not that bad on grass as she reached R4 Wimbledon last year... but what Tammy did today is totally amazing!!! and I'm surprise with the score and stat on this match. Keep going Tammy :yeah:

Anyway, I hope that Tamira will back very soon :D

I guess she can take comfort in the fact that Federer only did marginally better against Nadal on clay. But holy f*ck, Tamira, either fix what's wrong or take a sabbatical and come back focused. This is pathetic.

I hope that Tamira adjusts her schedule over the summer and plays lots of Tier IIIs and IVs and even ITFs. This year she has been playing mainly big events and with some bad draws, has got into a losing streak and is now losing to players out of the top 50. She may drop out of the top 60-70 if she loses early in Wimbledon as she is defending last 16 points.

No surprise Tammy won this match. She continues to show how good she is on grass. Clearly she is in prime form too.

But for Tamira to win only one game suggests there is something very wrong with her. I think it is now very clear that her current coaching situation is not delivering and changes need to be made...and fast.

Well, Lari Passos is her coach again. He was with her in Birmingham.

But this man cannot do wonders in 3 days and Tamira can´t get fit in three weeks BUT her match against Baczinsky @ RG was better because she won a set (and more than one game BTW :o ). I can imagine how she netted all her backhands :o

Passos is back with her? That is great news for her. :yeah:

She has obviously sunk pretty low and as you say she can't get fit in three weeks. Heck it might be more like 3 months before Tamira is playing again like she did last year. But if Passos is back with her I have no doubt she will get back on track. It is only a matter of time.

Nice win for Tanasugard! She continues to show her best form on grass. I'm glad to see she's stepping up and taking advantage. ;)

Impressive win. This Paszek is apparently the most impressive "something-year-old-of-all-time" or something.

That's a tall order. I'm guessing Dementieva or Chakvetadze are the weakest grasscourt players among the top 8 (yes, I'm aware Chak is good on fast surfaces, but I wouldn't put her above Jelena or Ana certainly).

But she could be poised for another 4rd-- looking at players ranked 9-16, they are all pretty terrible on grass except Bartoli and Hantuchova who is injured. Hopefully Szavay can prove me wrong, but I'm not holding my breath.

Go Tammy!

that's a bit far-fetched, don't you think? nadal on clay is not the same thing as tanasugarn on grass. ;)
