Oh well, grass just isn't for some people. She choked badly in the first set but whatever.

Congratulations Sunitha.

I didn't expect her to be very good on grass, she doesn't really get down to the ball very well.

She is only 18 though, plenty of time to figure out what to do on grass.

I think it will take time, like it does with most youngsters just starting out on grass.

Her strokes are big enough to make her successful anywhere, she just needs more time to get used to the bounce of a grass court. From what I have seen in videos, the grass in Birmingham bounces different from Wimbledon, but I could be wrong. I think she will be fine in two weeks time.

I thought she would do better than this... Rao isn't actually a world beater... :tape:

I know, I thought she would win too. But Rao has had experience on this surface and came through qualifying this week so she is used to the conditions. This result just doesn't really worry me, for some reason.

Well, you have been a fan of Patty, and we all know how great she is on grass.

Just joking. I love Patty. Win a slam soon, patty. :sob:

Patty might be able to beat Petra on grass...well actually probably not. She probably couldn't beat a 12-year old who played using her mouth on grass. But yes, win a slam soon. :sobbing:
