When Zvonareva replaces Bartoli in the top 10, there will be two Serbians, six Russians and two Americans; only three nationalities. Has that ever happened before?
Three nationalities in the top 10Kworb Jun 7th, 2008, 06:52 PM When Zvonareva replaces Bartoli in the top 10, there will be two Serbians, six Russians and two Americans; only three nationalities. Has that ever happened before? Kworb Jun 16th, 2008, 04:58 PM It can happen this week if: Marion loses in R2 or QF and Vera makes SF Vera beats Marion in SF sharapovarulz1 Jun 16th, 2008, 05:00 PM Interesting fact, I am liking it though :D G&R Jun 16th, 2008, 05:00 PM marion isn't top ten daniela is tenth Kworb Jun 16th, 2008, 05:02 PM I know, I made the thread when Marion was still #10. Vera needs to make SF to pass Daniela. hankqq Jun 16th, 2008, 05:03 PM Wow! I think the top 10 by the end of the year will have at least 1-2 more nationalities in it though. Lucas_Arg Jun 16th, 2008, 05:08 PM 6 Russians :confused::confused::confused: That's a lot. Dave. Jun 16th, 2008, 05:14 PM 2 nations and 1 family even :worship: Kworb Jun 16th, 2008, 05:14 PM 6 Russians :confused::confused::confused: That's a lot. It's happened before, but with Petrova instead of Chakvetadze Benshka Jun 16th, 2008, 05:37 PM Bepa has a great shot at the SF. She should be top 10 next Monday, wow. :hearts: Benshka Jun 16th, 2008, 09:48 PM Actually if I'm not mistaken, Vera needs a final at Eastbourne to make top 10. With a SF she'll be tied with Daniela (2007 points), and Daniela played more tournaments so she will be #10. Kworb Jun 16th, 2008, 10:16 PM Vera has 1912 points, and SF at Eastbourne gives 125 points, enough to pass Daniela. :) goldenlox Jun 16th, 2008, 11:35 PM Vera was out this time last year until the USO. She has nothing to defend until NYC It's possible there'll be 6 Russians in Doha for the YEC OsloErik Jun 17th, 2008, 06:55 AM Vera was out this time last year until the USO. She has nothing to defend until NYC It's possible there'll be 6 Russians in Doha for the YEC I count 5. Which of the Russians outside the YEC Race top 10 looks at all capable of stringing together a top 8 season? InsideOut. Jun 17th, 2008, 07:01 AM Actually if I'm not mistaken, Vera needs a final at Eastbourne to make top 10. With a SF she'll be tied with Daniela (2007 points), and Daniela played more tournaments so she will be #10. But even if that is true, the one who plays FEWER tournaments gets higher ranking. Right? Shepster Jun 17th, 2008, 11:05 AM But even if that is true, the one who plays FEWER tournaments gets higher ranking. Right? They go on the record for Tier I + Grand Slam over the past year when they're tied. It happened with Maid Marion and Dani last year. Vera has more points in those this calendar year than Dani does over the last 12 months. | |
