i don't think either venus or lindsay are going to show up at olympics. It takes a lot toll for them to go to China and come back to US.(istead of olypics i expect them to the californian hard court events.)

I see Venus having a great hard court season winning 2 titles and having a great run at Wimbledon and the US Open but I don't see her winning a Grand Slam this year I want her too but I think she won't.

If she wins a slam you know I won't be angry :D

More specifically:

Wimbledon
This event is wide open, but I can only see about four women actually winning it (Venus, Serena, Sharapova, and Ivanovic). Maria is obviously eager to forget her loss in RG, so she will definitely be motivated to do well. Ana's confidence will also be running high after her first GS victory. However, I think this will come down to the Williams sisters. One of them is taking the title, and I think Venus will turn up the heat once again.

Olympics
I think Serena will win this. She'll be extremely determined to take the Gold medal because she's always envied Venus' 2000 medal. Maria is also extremely determined to win the medal, and there are many others who could prevail as well.

US Open
Once again, this GS is open. Most of the Top 20 could do well here, but I expect Ana to follow up her GS with another title run. She's yet to do particularly well in Flushing Meadows, but has shown that she's a formidable hardcourt competitor. Serena and Venus are always threats, but their motivation and fight occasionally seems suspect by the end of the year. Maria will be a threat as well, as could be Kuznetsova, Dementieva, Jankovic, Zvonareva, and even Safina.

I want Nicole to win everything :D

Ana Ivanovic has told the press today that US Open has been the worst tournament for her so far, because she always feels very bad when she goes on the court to play her match. She said she feels almost dead, somehow that city takes away all her energy and when she's suppose to play, she doesn't feel good, so she'll have to make some changes this year - with her team, in order to try to achieve a better result.
And who will win Wimbledon - I think it will be between 1. Maria 2. Venus 3. Serena 4. Ana....

us open: im going for ana...shes never done insanely well at this tournament, but before this year, she never did well at the australian open too. plus she has loads of confidence and i would love for people here in the states to know more players other than sharapova and the william sisters.
