Safina has been impressive, as has kuznetsova and azarenka. Zvonerava is in good form too

Thrashing Schiavone on any surface is impressive, thrashing Schiavone on Clay is simply unheard off!

Ivanovic, for sure. She's played magnificently. Her shots and serve have been so measured and precise...she's being patient, not getting over-eager, and she's determined.

Unfortunately, very few of the people who've made it to the round of sixteen have had to really beat anyone, so it's hard to measure who's truly been playing the best. Most difficult road would probably go to Jankovic...Niculescu, Erakovic, and Cibulkova are all dangerous. EDIT: Maybe Srebotnik, since she actually beat one of the greatest players of all time.

So I guess I'll say Ivanovic or Jankovic. Their semifinal should be...great. :o

she did it 2 times on clay:lol:
Estoril last year, she won 6-2 6-2 and then here she wins 6-1 6-1, next time they plan, Franny should be scared of the double bagel:tape:

Kuznetsova. Her thrashing of Petrova was amazing!

Petrova is not the player she once was.She lost to Akgul last week...
Kuzy had a pretty draw so it's hard to judge her form imo.

Azarenka and Zvonareva have been hot all week. Most of the other top seeds beside sharapova have been doing well to.

Azarenka is amazing, so is zvonareva. This happens in every Grand Slam, you think a player who isn't one of the favorites is playing good enough to win the tournament. Then the favorites handle them quite comfortably. I think Sharapova is playing well enough to reach the finals. I don't know if Safina is mentally tough enough to beat her.
