this is a possible match-up for the final of this years tournament, and in actual fact it isn't THAT unlikely

Kvitova plays Kanepi next, with potentially Kuznetsova in the quarters and Sharapova in the semi's (should she get past Safina)...If Kuznetsova is on a good day, she would breeze past Petra, but on a bad day Petra would stand a chance. We all know how vulnerable Sharapova is on clay, and as for Safina, she has been known to self destruct mentally! Dementieva is probably Petra's biggest obsticle in my opinion, but even she has an off-day now and then when she just plays awfully and her serve is still a big achilles heel of hers if she doesn't have confidence.

Suarez Navarro is probably least likely of the 2 to reach the final, with a potential Jankovic match up in the Quarters. However, Radwanska at her best has the game to beat Jankovic on an off-day, and if Radwanska was not at her best in the Quarter's and plays like she did against Larcher de Brito in Miami, Suarez would take advantage of that. Ivanovic is Suarez Navarro's most likely opponent in the semi's, and if her recent showings in Berlin and Rome are anything to go by, it's possibly she could play horribly in the Semi's as she is not high on confidence at the moment, which is something her game relies heavily on.

all in all, this prospect is VERY unlikely to happen, but there is a small possibility...

should it happen, would they cancel the women's tour?

but more importantly, who would win??

I thought it was obvious the final would be Kanepi vs Cetkovska
