Great! :yeah: She deserved to go one round further after taking out one of the top8 seeds (even if it was only Czakwetadze).
Really pleased for Kaia to eventually take it after crushing Anabel in the 1st set and getting close to wrap it up in 2. Did she have any MPs in the 2nd set btw? Anyway, impressive comeback in the 3rd by Kaia. Anabel was serving for the match and before had a BP for *5-2 lead. Well done and she's not without a chance to get to her maiden GS QF.

AMG is such a biatch. Have you seen what she did in the tiebreak when the lineman didn't call out a Kaia's serve which was CLEARLY out? More than a biatch I think she is a poorly educated girl :armed:

And she says she plays tennis? :o

If you watched the match, I don't think you could call it a "wasted opportunity." Kanepi played the better tennis, hit the right shots when it mattered and held herself together mentally. She blasted winners all over the place and never gave up or got down on herself. Medina did not play a bad match at all; she gave herself many chances in the last set but Kanepi held firm.

I like both of these players, but it's good to see the Estonian coming through in a tough match for once. I thought she might have big things in store at one time, but she's struggled so much, first, with injuries, and later, with inconsistency. Wish her well in the next match.

I don't think it's Anabel's fault. I'm utterly sad, but the match was in the hands of kaia. She played extremely hard. When she missed, Anabel was in lead. When she didn't, no one can outplay her. So not your fault Anabel, I understand your tears, those were of frustration. Congrats Kaia:) (but I think she plays hideous, just for me. Sad to see Azarenka and Kanepi advance :()

It is main sports news in Estonia, but what really sucks, that TV channels in Estonia didnt show the match and will not show 4-th round match against Kvitova either. I heard that Estonians in USA watched it, it was televised, but Estonians in homeland had to stare scoreboard and have to do it again in Monday.Estonian channels are not interested in tennis, they avoid it like plague.

She was ranked in the 200's and Casey was injured and fatigued after the Australian Open...hence she didn't play after Pattaya City until Indian Wells...

AMG sucks, get used to it Adrian  if she was really such a wonderful player on clay (and, as you say, Casey is crap) how come she is losing at the same stage as her

This was a fantastic match! Both players far exceeded my expectations, and it's too bad one had to lose. Kaia was playing flawless tennis in the 1st set, and returned to that form just in time to make a comeback. Anabel has nothing to hang her head about, it was just that tight.

well pardon you, but didnt she make it further then half the aussei girls.. How is she as high ranked as all of them then  8 titles to her name, i think she passed dellacqua/molik/stosur. and not playing pattaya and being fatigue prooves how unfit she is :D!

Firstly, learn to spell properly

Secondly, look where she has won her titles...seven of the eight have been on clay and the eighth was at the now defunct Canberra Tier 4...none of them have been anything higher than a Tier 3 either.
She is three years older than Casey...therefore of course she is going to have won more titles!
Casey has only really started to believe in her game in the past 6-12 months, and look at the results she has had...
QF in Hobart (defeated an ''injured'' Medina Garrigues)
4TH RD Aus Open (defeated Schnyder and Mauresmo)
4TH RD Indian Wells (defeated Vaidisova and Paszek)
3RD RD Roland Garros (defeated Bartoli)

That's pretty impressive by anyone's means in their first full year on the WTA Tour.

And seeing as you have brough the rest of the Aussie girls into this argument...
Molik is a former World No.8, holds 5 WTA Singles Titles (including Tier 1 Zurich, Tier 2 Sydney), Olympic bronze medallist, Australian Open quarter finalist
Stosur is a former World No.27, beaten the likes of Mauresmo, Davenport and would be top 20 by now had she not gotten sick.

Open this thread after the 2009 French Open, and Stosur and Dellacqua will be ranked higher than Medina Garrigues

And if you think Casey is unfit, then you are clearly delusional and are just another hater...
I'm sorry but I have always shown Medina Garrigues respect, but your continual putdowns of Casey are a big disappointment
