She's had it this year.. I'm pretty sure of it, several times possibly. Just probably not in a slam.

vs Vera at rome she hit 13 errors in the 1st set and 13 winners. that was 7-5. the next set was 6-2 so she must have hit more winners

She played pretty clean in the 4r at the AO in terms of keeping her errors low. Other than that I can't remember any clean matches this year

WTF :rolls:

She had this way more than once this year.

More than half her matches actually.

Not really a fair assessment. If you get a racquet on the ball, it is not counted as a winner or error. So Venus opens up the court with an angle, it is neither. Or if Venus pounds the ball and gets a ball hit long or one in the net, it's not a winner.

Hitting winners and errors isn't all tennis is about or the best indicator if you played well or not.

But surely she did it a number of times at Wimbledon 2008. In her first three matches, she played safe tennis.

She's had it many times, although there's never usually a massive difference like the way it has been this wimbledon. She's really cut down on the errors.

I think that nowadays if Venus is gonna get beat, it's not because she's hitting 40 errors, (she may hit a few errors) but also because of great play from the opponent.

so true.... just ask Serena who had more winners and less errors than Venus and still lost the wimbledon final....
