Im not sure how much this moonballer should have helped Peer.

Don´t we remmember when Conchita predicted an unsucessful return for Martina Hingis and all of that sh.t when less than a year Conchita was about to make the top ten in 2004.

It says pretty much how much does she knows about..

Good move Shahar you need someone to teach you how to step it up.

Personally i think it's a right decision

Her game is kinda messed up, it's going nowhere

No right game scheme, no phisycal form, no belief in herself

Nothing's left

Still she's very talented and i believe she can bring it all back

All she needs it to hire a good hard court type coach, get back her fitness training hard and start to play pretty small events with easy opponents to get her confidence back

It will be definitely hard during grass court season but if she starts with US court tourniers like San Diego it can be a wise solution

Remember bad days of Vera Zvonareva when she was thrashed even by poor players, or Jankovic with her bad streak 2 years ago

They overcame it and Shahar can at some point

If we have to wait until San Diego you better have patience

Cincinatti anyone?

I mean bringing it all back on grass is poor nonsense, at current form she will 90% fail to deliver

Let's get realistic objectives

Well thought prepartion for US hard court t-mens is much more preferable and actually real, just remember Mirza last year

but is the coaching why she has been perfoming badly? good or great players never make good coaches.

Another coach in another tournament.

Another suitcase in another hall.

i think things will get worse before they get better.

i see her falling out of the top 30, then climbing back up stronger than ever!

Yes, for sure, all of those who saw Shahar's matches from last year, and from this year, could see it wasn't the same player.

Well she needs to change one every half a year so  it was time.

Peer is fairly one-dimensional, and will never be as talented as Conchita. She is mentally weak, and has a lot of breakdowns. Another mediocre player, who has crested. Conchi needs to coch someone with talent, who can handle more variety.

Good riddance to Shahar....

Bullshit.

Plain bullshit.

Shahar was among the most mentally toughest players before. She always fought till the last ball.

What are you so bitter about? You seem to have confidence in Conchita, if thats the case there will be lots of other top20 players just fighting in line to get Conchita as a coach ;)

The disrespect towards Conchita in this thread is pretty laughable. Peer will do well to achieve 10% of what Conchita did.

Hingis made a successful return? She was overpowered by the same players that made her quit. She was so confused, instead of taking steroids she took cocaine.

The disrespect is for her coaching abilities, not her playing career.
Urpi has proven more than once he's far from being an elite coach as well.
It was a bad mistake by Shahar hiring them in the first place.

Well thank God for that. Not saying Conchi is a bad coach but she would be better coaching someone who needed help with perseverance, defense and of course moonballing. Shahar needs someone to add some firepower and new shots to her game, she already has the fitness and fighting spirit. I dont know whats happened to her this year though, I think she needs to add more dimensions to her game because she seems to be going nowhere and I would hate for her to be stuck in her current ranking zone for the rest of her career.
