I'd say Mamic is much better than her ranking implies. She could be top 200 or 150, so it won't be an easy match for Misa (as it probaly wouldn't be against a regular top 400 player I'm afraid).

Won't be easy but I expect her to win! :)

Mamic used a protected ranking to get into the draw, so she certainly is better than her ranking implies. And I'm pretty sure clay is her favourite surface - but Misa *should* be able to beat her. Guess we'll find out soon enough.

Roland Garros was on tv this evening.
They were talking with the Dutch contenders. Misa, Robin and Jesse.

Misa said that she trained a lot this week with Richard, she has worked on the things that were not going well.
Mentally she feels good:) And she is looking forward to play her match !

Allistair isn't in Paris, her dad is with her

Although Mamic could be tough it's another great draw hopefully she can capitalize.

Mentally she feels good? She should show that in her match then, hopefully.

It really doesn't seem to matter who she is playing against...
Now 4-6 3-6 against Mamic, I wonder wether she could beat any top 500 player.

And I don't try to be negative, it just seems reality right now.

Guess we'll see how it goes on grass - perhaps that will be a plus?

I guess thinks will be better after just one win... she'll be fine... at some point:)

well at least she still has the doubles left in RG. Maybe she can get some confidence back with that.

She made the doubles final in Prague...that didn't seem to help, so I doubt doubles at RG will. ;)

Me too - but doubles doesn't really count for much in the end does it? ;)

No, not really.

Besides Misa and Marina Erakovic lost their first round match.

Why does everyone think that everything will be fine for Misa once she's playing on grass again? I can tell you now, with this form she also won't be able to win matches on grass. She isn't better on grass than on hardcourt or other quick surfaces. Yes grass is the better surface for her, but it's not that once she plays on it she will win matches again. Last year she lost early in 's-Hertogenbosch and she had just a really good week in Wimbledon, with (besides from Anna) easy opponents. I think it's just in her head, she is acting very negative on the court and she's not believing in herself. She first has to stop with that, try to find some ways to get over that and than I hope she can start winning matches again, but like some of you say I also think that beating any player in the top 500 these days is very difficult for her to do now. I'm not negative just an opinion. I hope she will be fine! :)

I don't think anyone actually did. At least I didn't. I just hope she'll have a bit more chance than on clay.

That was my point. ;) I would hope (ie that's different to thinking) she can perhaps win one match on grass - but we'll see.
