Eggy my lad, where do you get all this information from? What do you know about the Russian youngster Vasilisa Bardina?

Vasilisa is coached by her father (she plays for a club called Sportmir or something like that). There have been some rumors that he beats her if she doesn't play well but I doubt it's true. She plays really well actually, has been playing U16 and 18 for a long time. She trains with a girl called Surkova(born 1986). They travel everywhere together. She won the junior Kremlin Cup a couple years ago. She is considered one of the best juniors.

Nina, thanks a lot for this info. I didn't know much about this girl (except for what I read on ITF website), but I found her record pretty impressive. I'm sure she's a good prospect. and not under a lot of pressure. I'm sure we'll hear a lot more about her.

Man, the pressure these very young girls are under incredible. The Pea and Tenn_ace, it's not funny if these girls under so much pressure cannot control their emotions. Is it? Let's hope Anna is okay, physically and emotionally.

the cat in the hat, I'm not laughing.... I stated the fact and I certainly feel for these girls. But I'm also mad at their parents, cause, for the most they put all possible pressure on their daughters.

ron, I'm not at this tournament (I wish I was), but I went to some others. BTW, saw both Ivan Lendl girls playing.

Scott, both of Lendl girls are good.

They are good shot makers and chose the right shots and generate a very good power, although they are very small (even for their age). The 11 year old wass ripping competition (u12) apart. The younger one (9yo) is more talented (I agree here), but just too small yet to win few matches in a row. I liked her forehand a lot. It's not very consistent, but lethal. She lost in the second round, but gave her opponent a run for her money.

BTW, they travel with their mom.
