Let's hope Dinara can carry this amazing form into Rome. She really is playing amazing on the clay :bounce:

Extremely tough first round vs Azarenka, who she is playing in the SF of Berlin
2R: will be a Q
3R: Ivanovic

lets not get thinking too far ahead

Azarenka again:lol:
Well at least Dinara can take the mental edge into the match after today. But Rome will be new, Dinara can't expect anything, Vika will want revenge.

Very tough draw. But first a Tier I final in Berlin to play.

I hope Dinara isn't too tired in Rome. How she is physically will probably determine how far she goes.

Vika looked pretty injured in Berlin, and having only a few days to get to Rome and play the first match, Vika may withdraw

Oh I didn't know that. What is her injury?
Shame I like Vika, but she has had a tough year with injuries, if she could stay fit her ranking would be higher.

not sure, she said at the net it was cramps. if it was, it shouldn't take too long to heal, but it looked a bit more. we will just have to wait and see

Dinara is now on a 5 match winning streak, with 3 of those top 10 players including Henin and Serena.

With Ivanovic totally off par, she can be a huge threat in this tournament. Providing she gets a later 1st round match (Tues or Weds) and has enough rest.

Oh I didn't know that. What is her injury?
Shame I like Vika, but she has had a tough year with injuries, if she could stay fit her ranking would be higher.

She has something with her leg. In the double after the semifinal against Dinara she had strapping on her thigh and she had to retire after a couple of games. So she probably can't play in Rome.

Dinara pulls out.:sad: Well, she had such a taff week in berlin so its ok. :p Maybe she will watch Marat in Hamburg. :D

Great call.
Dinara needs to be fit for RG. Take some days of rest then hit the practice courts.
Dinara did say "back inury" as the reason for withdrawal but as players have to give a reason who knows how serious it is;) Hopefully not too bad:p

Well, that's a pitty but she can probably better recover for Roland Garros now.

May 12th, 2008, 03:42 PM
well it's good decision, she will get to RG fresher.

Get well,Dinara

No surprises really. A good choice. Wouldn't be good if she lost to some Q in 2R because of too much play.

See in the RG
