I like V-lix's thread titles better. :p
Umm, well it's a tough first round but Wozniacki isn't a proven clay courter yet so it's not all bad. As I said in the other thread, if Tati can find just a little bit of form (esp. on the serve) and get a few hits in with the top girls, it will be an interesting occasion to say the least. I don't think Wozniacki will blow her away the way say Zvonereva did in a past comeback.

Allez Tati!

A very tough draw for Tati I think. Caro was practicing with Patty Schnyder and she's looking very fit and moves well on clay. I think Tati needs a very good day to beat her...

Good luck Tati! :D
I hope she'll reach the quarters so I can watch her on Friday

Remember that Woazniacki is coming back from injury too. Not surgery or anything but she won't be 100% mentally fit too. And remember, we are talking about The Fucking Tatiana Golovin. Allez!

I checked her serve stats @ Cagnes and it was pretty good and yet she was broken 49058340958 times. I'm really worried that she might get trashed this time. Good luck anyhow, Tati!

Yeah, but I always jinx her :sobbing:
Only when the titles are positive. :p

She's having problems with her serve because of the stomach. Maybe she's just rolling them in without much power or placement because of the soreness and yet they are still going out. It was so amazing in the indoor season last year.

But as I said before, if she can get a feeling for the top players games again, I think it will be great for her game. And if she can keep up with them in practice, great for her confidence.

if this was her 1st match back, i wouldn't give tati a chance.

but after playing those matches last week, i'll give her a slightly higher chance. hope she was able to get some good practice in these past couple of days.

woah, you guys are so negative.. I was coming in here in hopes of getting some nice and positive feedback for the draw, and then to find this.. :( We have to support Tati in this hard time..

I am confident that she will win.. She just needs to play her flat game and then wozniacki won't be able to follow like with Sharapova and the others.. And if Tati's serve works and her groundstrokes, she will be just fine I think..

Come on Tati!! :D

Tati's form in this match was too up-and-down to win, but she got really close to surprise us. I hope she keeps on improving as fast as in this week! There were some nice periods today from the evolution of the scoreline.

Hmm, it's a pity that she lost. I think she played well until *6-5 in the 1st set. At 1-4 in the 2nd there was a long break - maybe she had some problems...

I hope she'll practice a bit in Berlin to be prepared for Rome. :D

damn, too bad she couldn't get that 1st set tiebreaker. from the thread, sounds like she has some chances in the 1st so it's a bit disappointing.

overall, though, i'm encouraged. maybe with another week of practice, she can win a match or two in rome.

But French starlet Tatiana Golovin was a first-round casualty when she was beaten by Denmark's Caroline Wozniacki in straight sets.

The 20-year-old had surgery at the start of last month to remove a cyst which was causing her back pain and she was making her return in Berlin after a 10-week break.

"I normally love playing in Germany, but it is just too soon to expect too much," said the Moscow-born Golovin.

"I only just had surgery and I am still recovering from that, I am not perfect yet and I'll need to take my time to recover my form.

"This is all just part of the process."

I have bad news for the Tati fans. The injury looks not over.
In the 2nd set she got a lot of treatment and it wasn't a match.
I can't say much now, but she's certainly not 100%

I hope Tati's fine ... Maybe l'Equipe will report something soon on her health.
