Marion can be satisfied of herself, from the scoreline it appears that her game is slowly coming back. She really showed some heart to fight back. It was close till the end ... A more positive loss than against Govortsova.
Congrats Vera!

They were both trying to hit the other off the court.
Vera has to be steadier v Jankovic

Marion looked like she was moving well.
That might be a good sign for her on the clay.

Defend your points so you can keep playing catch up Vera.

Good to hear that Marion showed signs of improvement. Last year, she had a decent clay court season, so with a good preparation during those weeks off, she can gain some confidence. :)

So sweet to see Vera's growth these last 9-12 months -- she's no longer what people said she was. Now she's the kind of player and person than that she can be.

Keep it up Bepa. :yeah:

... she'll still be a top 20 player.

She's actually GAINED points so far this year, because her start of 2007 was so bad.

Bartoli still not won any 3-setter in 2008 (W/L 0-6)...

Last year in Wimbledon she won three 3-setters in the row (including vs #1 and #3). Her Wimbledon 2007 run is maybe WTA biggest joke in last decade :p.

122 UEs? Sure didn't seem like it. I bet a lot of those came from the third set.

If Marion hadn't messed up the 1st set, there wouldn't of been any need for a 3rd set
She seems to have discovered the art of choking this year.
Well done to Vera, though.

If it's true then it must be an awful match.

But 122 errors isn't a huge lot; Serena-Jankovic at Miami also had exactly 100.
