Well Aga, congrats on winning another marathon but I'm afraid it's gonna affect your performance against Patty. Still good luck, hope you're gonna regroup and find your best form form the beginning of the season !

BTW, it was her 5th 3-setter in a row

I wish I had stayed for this match, kind of. I'm not a fan of Radwanska, but she has a tendency lately for long, grueling matches. Plus she had a great match against Domachowska. If she isn't conflicting with Elena, I'll watch her match against Patty for sure.

I'm not that surprised Radwanska is being taken to three sets so much, though. She can produce effortless winners and has superb defense...but she can't really knock anyone out with any one shot. Great court sense and anticipation can only get you so far.

I think Aga is the year to date champion of 3 setters. This was her 13th this year, and she won 9 out of them. Pretty impressive. But I'm afraid it will fire back sooner or later.

Anyway, congrats to her, a win is a win after all.

Actually, in the first and third sets, Gallovits was playing great, serving better than Radwanska, swinging freely, and controlling a lot of the rallies. I was a bit surprised Radwanska got through it.

Then all the more credit to Agnieszka for winning, and congratulations to Edina for playing great.

Dear God I was bitting my nails during that time. I had 3000euros on Srebotnik and Radwanska  they both were 4-5 down in third, but managed to win 7-5 :) Congrats

Hard fight for Aggie, but she pulled it through. It could go either way against Patty though.

It's exciting how many of the younger girls are so good on clay! It was always a little depressing thinking of how unappealing the French Open looked in the later rounds from 2000 until 2006 or 2007. Now we've got three great clay courters under 25 (Ivanovic, Jankovic, Kuznetsova) and plenty of good ones under 20! Looking good for the post-Henin clay seasons.
