Ana is better than Nicole. She has more variety and more smarts too. But Nicole has two ankles that are 100% and that could easily end up counting for more than brains.

Obviously Ana's fitness is more important that whether or not Ana wins this match or even plays, but as I am not terribly enamored with her opponent I do rather hope Ana is able to play and what's more, play well enough to win. I must say I'm not optimistic. I think this match comes a few days sooner than needed for Ana to completely shake off the effect on her turned ankle.

I didn't see Nicole's match today so I don't know what form she's in. It all depends on Ana though - how much her ankle affects her.

I think her confidence is vey high at the moment and she has a winning mentality so i'll go with Ana

I hope Ivanovic' fully recovered from her ankle injury because if she isn't she shouldn't be playing. The outcome of the match will be dependant on how Ivanovis's ankle is, if she 100% it could be a close match with either one winning. If it's still bothering her, Vaidisova almost certainly wins.

Agree. Injured players or faked injured should withdraw. They have all the reasons if they lost.Its not fair to the opponent. Like Jankovic, saying shes injured, she kept playing, if she was beaten, she could always say that shes playing with injury. No credit given to the winner.

So Ana Ivanovic not deserve coments like this at all because she never fake her injuries and even when she realy have injury problems - she always finished her matches and give credit to winners without any excuses. Ana is known like player which when have bad day anybody have chance beat her with results like 6-2 6-1 for example (in about nearly half of they loses she lose winning only 3-4 games in whole match even last career-best so far season) but she never retire when played final set like sh*t and opponent lead 4-0, 5-0, 5-1 or 5-2.

Well Ana does have an ankle injury maybe it's not too serious but it's probably going to contribute to the result. If Ana does win then it will depend on how she played if theres no sign of the injury then people wont be able to say Nicole lost to an injured player.

How serious is her injury?

I remember reading she didn't want to get on a plane after her match because of the injury. Does she carry her own luggage, which would add extra weight? She already stated talking about California before she even started her first Dubai tournament match. Anyone know why? She said many times she doesn't look ahead, just takes it match by match, yet she already has looked ahead.

You know, if she didn't injure her ankle then I would not have known she paints her toenails red! Three more points! Ana won!
