Sounds Of Serena
That voice you hear in your head on court sometimes — you know the one that reassures you your second serve is destined to float into the net like a soap bubble into a ceiling fan before you even release your toss — may be sounding a bit hoarse in your head.

If you ever find yourself wishing you could replace that voice of doubt with persuasive positive percussion creating a spirit-shaking sound capable of cracking competitors’ concentration like cymbals smashing synapses — or just get you pumped up enough to run a little longer on the treadmill then Serena Williams is here to help you.

Serena is ready to put her voice in your head — you select whether it’s a Serena scream or her whispered reassurance —accompanied by her favorite musicians to pump up the volume on your motivation and intensity level.
No, she’s not bypassing Venus to invite you to play doubles with her in Miami next month, but she is willing to go wherever you take her.
The eight-time Grand Slam champion has combined coaching tips with a music mix in creating two workout sets: a 30-minute interval run featuring the music of Maroon 5, Black Eyed Peas, Fergie and Timbaland to set the pace for interval training and a spontaneous speed workout in which Williams uses the music of Mary J. Blige, Vanessa Carlton and Justin Timberlake to guide you through a warm-up, timed stretches of sprints and recovery.

Blige, whose classic statement of defiance and determination in spite of pain “it’s up to us to choose/whether we win or lose/and I choose to win” served as a soundtrack to inspire Serena in the past, is represented by two songs on Williams’ spontaneous speed mix tape.
