With this week's win in Doha, Sharapova reached $1,559,076 in prize money for the year. WOW...

What's the record? With quality showings for the rest of the year, she could be well over $5,000,000 by year's end. Crazy...

Nice to see her racking in the cash, though this is only minor cash compared to her endorsements.

Doha gave her a ridiculous amount of money to beat players out of the top 20.

Hmm I thought winners of slams get $1,400,000 alone ?

At the US Open they do. Not at the Australian Open. It's the slam where the prize money is the lowest.

$1.5 million means Yuri made around $300,000 as coach. What's Eisenbud make? Does he get 5% of all earnings? He probably takes over $1 million of Maria's money every year.

isn't Eisenbud IMG employee? Anyways I think he deserves every buck he gets. I mean a lot of people doubted if such an ammount of endoursements going to affect Maria's performance on tour and if she would turn into another Kournikova, but it didn't, so now noone is even mentioning it. A lot thanks to him I guess. The guy knows how to negotiate a good deal.

And it is no wonder if Yuri really gets so much. I guess he is more of shareholder than employee.

1.5 million in 14 matches. At this rate, by 55 matches she will beat all records?
