A couple of 1st rd match-ups:

1-Evie Dominikovic (AUS) vs Mi-Ra Jeon (KOR)

Eun-Ha Kim (KOR) vs Manisha Malhotra (IND)

-----

What a rotten pair of match-ups.
Just when Mi-Ra starts playing well again, she goes up against the Top seed. Her luck never changes.

Weird, no Saori, Yoon-Jeong nor Rika.

Saori must've felt that there was no point in playing the 3rd leg since she's already alcomplished her 2 goals.

Rika must be injured since she withdrew from doubles last week.

Yoon-Jeong's absence is a mystery. I hope she's not injured becuase if she did well this week and next week she would have been very close to the Top 100.

Shiho vs Bryanne again.

When you know her target in Australia was to get at least one victory in the 3 ITF's there. And she has so far at least one victory per tourney.

Let's hope for this one she will get AT LEAST 2...

POOOOOOOR PAVLINA NOLA SHE IS HAVING A HORRIBLE YEAR< and dessislava tapalova is really rowling, i can see her winning tournaments soon, she is getting better and better, she hits the ball so hard, and she serves with such power, all she needs is more accuracy and she will become a top 50 player for sure, i mean she is only 22 years old, and she palys a type of game like mauresmou or a lina K, she is a good player at net, she is 6'0 in height and she ways 144 pounds, she is fit, all she does wrong is, she hits long, and not long by much but just by a little, so i think we will see her in the top 100 or top 50, or better in the next year or next couple of years.

Go Cindy!

She's never had such consistent results like this before in $25K challengers, thats 2 finals and a semi which is fantastic for her ranking, hope she can pull off one final upset and win this and move into the top 200!

Way to go Cindy!

Your second $25K title this year and 3rd of your career!

Fantastic was to finish the year and hopefully an Australian Open Wild Card to go along with it as the top performing aussie in these 6x$25K challengers.

Hopefully you will get a better draw than last time when you drew 3rd seed Mary Pierce in the 1st round.

Wow, I'm sooooooooooo happy! Congrats again Cindy, you really deserve this! This should push her ranking up to the verge of top 200 with Dittmann

Doubles Final

Dominikovic/Stosur def Watson/Grahame 6-4 6-4

Watson couldn't pull off the double but Evie/Stosur did in that this was their 2nd consecutive doubles title.

Cindy better get her wildcard, its hard to believe that she has performed better than Christina Wheeler, Samantha Stosur and Bryanne Stewart, who also competed in these 6 events. Gotta give this girl credit again, Bravo Cindy!!!!!!!!

And TBE don't discredit Cindy's win saying Tatiana shouldn't have lost to a player like Cindy! Cindy has had many wins over top 140 players before, and her performance has been very consistent the last few weeks, she has played well and outplayed Tatiana to deserve this title and Aus Open wildcard.

All credit to her but seriously Tatiana should have won but she didn't

Can anyone give me a run-down on Watson's style of play.

I saw her about 4-5 years ago at Aus Open qualifiers and wasn't overally impressed. She seemed intent on playing the ball back on the baseline waiting for her opponents mistake.

I would say that her impressive results indicate a more positive approach. True??

Too bad Tatiana, nice to see her in the finals at least, but hoped for a win

glad Evie picked up the doubles title at least

Tatiana should be in the Top 50 and definitely should not have lost this match.

She has more talent than most players on the Tour but isn't mentally all there yet

But I expect a big jump of about 100 spots next year, I know she can do it

Congrats to Cindy -- didn't expect her to win this tournament.

Tatiana is not a top 50 player especially when you say she's mentally fragile!

To say that it was a match that she should have won is ridiculous considering that this player lost 1st round last week to Trudi Musgrave ranked 330ish in the world!

Cindy on the other hand has shown more improvement this jumpin 200, Yes, 200 places in the rankings, winning 2 x $25K events and reaching the final of another.

The jump Tatiana will make next year will be a lot more impressive than the one Cindy made

And I said she should be a Top 50 player...but obviously isn't because her head is not in it. Trust me, she's better than Watson and a ton of players ranked ahead of her. Whether she makes it to where she belongs is up to her shaky psyche.

But all credit to Watson, she beat Tatiana (though I'm sure that had far more to do with Tatiana, bank that) and deserves the wild card into the Australian that she'll probably get...

If it seems like I'm not giving credit to Cindy...I'm not Tatiana should have won this match because she's a much better player and I'm not going to apologize for that

Watson lost first round last week too. Second round the week before that, so what's your point? The Musgrave loss was Tatiana's first match in a while, no shame in being rusty.

Sorry I'm being cross, I'm just really peeved. Tatiana is stalling when I know she could be doing much better, and I thought this one was hers for the taking (it was)

Anyway, good luck to Cindy (he said grudgingly ). Perhaps she'll propel herself into the Top 100 much like Dominikovic and McQuillan did last year...I love the Aussie girls too and I'd love to see more of them playing the majors

Hurley how do you know Tatiana is a better player than Cindy when you have never seen Cindy play or even know what she looks like!

I've seen Cindy play a few times. She is a very solid baseliner and definitely a confidence player. Once she gets on a roll of wins she plays like a top 100 player as she proved at La Canada this year winning 8 matches in a row.
