Timea :yeah:

But definitely very disappointing by Alexandra, she was very close to the win. It was just like against Melinda Czink at the end of 2007.

But so far good two sets, hopefully she can continue like that.

Good she didn't retire, even if she was easily beaten in the third set. ;)

Angelika Roesch & Alexandra Stevenson, when I think a bit, they have a lot in common :o The only difference right now is that Roesch doesn't give up so many times, but her matches are often like a whole retirement :help: - so it's tied again.

And: Roesch is currently #205, Stevenson #392 - but like Roesch said few months ago "If 201 or 380 makes absolute no difference" :tape:

She was close, she really was close. Damn ! :(

Yeha, but her motivation probably felt totally down in the 3rd. Against an a bit lower player she would have won probably. But wasting the 3-0 was pretty  .

She never been a real chocker in former times, when I'm right, so I am surprised.

Atleast Lexy is getting fitter...i still have my tapes of those matches from 2001/2002 where she was playing really good tennis..her forehand was so big and her backhand also and her serve was ace after ace.

I actually think this is good news...Well, not that she lost, but nearly winning against such a highly ranked player in a Tier 2 qualifying tournament...;)

ooooo Alex:sad:

I thought you would get destroyed in this match and then you actually almost won it. It's nice to see you were able to play so well against a decent player, but it sucks that you choked it away or maybe Bacsinszky came back to play great tennis. That's what i'll tell myself.;)

the loss is bad but the fact that she can lead a top 100 player by a set and 3-0 is encouraging i suppose.

She's Alex Stevenson. No further explanation is necessary.

Its a good effort to lead by a set and 3-0 against a top 100 player when no one gave her any chance. I'd say it was just a choke.
