Feb 7th, 2008, 04:49 PM It is these opportunities that Casey really needs to take. She just had the best run of her career at the Australian Open, she needs to back it up with more QF's and SF's. That's how you get to be a top player. But I'm not writing her off yet. Give her another couple of lower tiers and see what she can do. If she loses 1R-2R then she has alot more work to do. morningglory Feb 7th, 2008, 04:50 PM And thus, providing more evidence that her AO run was just due to sheer luck... Dodoboy. Feb 7th, 2008, 06:42 PM i was wishing she would do well this week!...oh well Harvs Feb 7th, 2008, 08:30 PM ew ew ew ew ew ew ew ew ew ew ew ew ew ew ew really should have beaten klepac... The next few months are more of a test of character than talent. It might only take one big moment to turn things round again. Mattographer Feb 8th, 2008, 02:55 AM Please dont copy what i post in tennis aus about some of the aussie posters be original I don't know what you're talking about  Being a moderator for TA forum doesn't mean I have to read every posts  Mattographer Feb 8th, 2008, 02:57 AM ...;12463814']ur a moron:) did u see the matches? she played brilliantly I could ask you the same question  Casey won those matches because of their opponent don't play their best form :o The thing I like about her is she's a fighter, that's all. hablo Feb 8th, 2008, 03:39 AM A win over Momo doesn't seem to mean much, these days. Congrats, Klepac. Harvs Feb 8th, 2008, 03:43 AM I could ask you the same question  Casey won those matches because of their opponent don't play their best form :o The thing I like about her is she's a fighter, that's all. true matt... but casey played brilliant at the same time... it wasnt like her opponents gave her the wins... she took her chances and played extremely well switz Feb 8th, 2008, 03:44 AM looks like Casey has contracted the horrible disease that most of her countrymen suffer from known as "Can-only-play-well-in-Australia-itus" switz Feb 8th, 2008, 03:45 AM yeah the form Dellacqua produced in Australia would take care of Klepac any day of the week. even if Patty and Amelie did play like sissies. Sassy-Na Feb 8th, 2008, 03:45 AM go for the shot   Medina Feb 8th, 2008, 04:27 AM This is the girl who made the AO 4r. which was the fluke ey? Huntress555 Feb 8th, 2008, 04:46 AM I think the break will do Casey good, she's got like a week of something off now aye? Seriously I still expect some good things from her outside Aus. Just not straight away. I just think to be honest, the pressure/expectation is a little too much atm. Like someone said if she can get one good win or moment, I think she'll get the confidence. And then she'll produce the results that she should be! I just hope she has a little more belief in herself then some of the people on here.;) And the AUS open was not a fluke, she played so well and confident there. Sure I think the crowd helped which is what she has to learn to get past outside Aus. Marlboro Feb 8th, 2008, 12:05 PM Ok, obviously the form Casey produced in Australia isn't common to her, but let's not forget that she has displayed some very good form recently. Last year she had tough three set losses to the likes of Mirza, Vaidisova, Srebotnik and Pennetta. Even if her AO run was a flash in the pan, she's still above the level of Klepac. In 50% form she should easily be able to take her out, so it's quite clear to me that she's feeling some pressure out there. | |
