Which player has fans, who respect other players, bear defeats of her favorite player and are able to look not only uncritical to her favorite player.

Justine Henin and WS fans. I find them the most civilized ppl around here.

Out of the top 10 players, maybe Anna C and Justine H. fans. They almost always give credit to the other player.

Logical answer is - very good players from small countries always have large part of "cosmopolitain" fans b/c theys "national" base is not so big. For example Serbian players like Ana, Jelena and Novak or Swiss with Federer and Hingis, or Belgium with Justine and Kim...etc

Only couple of popular tennis superstars from big countries is exceptions like Sharapova, Kournikova, Agassi... or some big champions like Navratilova which have fans around world only b/c theys game (or maybe sexual orientation ).

Judging by the opposite: the number of dumb-thread starter in GM, I'd say Masha and the Williams sisters has the largest number of :fiery: people amongst their fans and amongst their haters too. But this has nothing to do with the players or the fans (or haters), it's just because those players have the largest fanbase. They have the largest number of nice, intelligent, and as you said "cosmopolitan" fans too.

Btw, it's interesting that there are very few dumb threads about Henin. What is more, there are surprisingly few threads of any kind about her.

no one good, all the good players have a collection of shitty fans, maybe MoMo is the exception (as far as obviously asinine omnipresent supporters) and most of the best players have fans from all walks of life and from all over the planet.

I would nominate Dani's fans. Almost always polite while very enthusiastic. Look for for a new "Save The Whale!" campaign in the near furure.

Also a good many Lindsay fans although several prominant fans ruin the overall impression of them.

The most popular players each have too many narrow-minded fanatics among the base, especially the WS.

Ana Ivanovic and Jelena Jankovic fans are the most cosmopolitan.

I read and watched many times Ana acknowledging her opponent's strengths after a tennis match on TV and her website. Jelena is gracious with her words towards her opponents as well in live interviews.

Justin Henin talked about "big guns" during a victory speech in the 2006 US Open. Do you know with whom she finished playing with? It was a tennis player whose homeland was bombed by the Belgian headquartered international lawbreakers.

Loyal and best fans are the not the same thing as cos-mo-po-li-tan.

Look it up in the dictionary: if we haven't got one they are located on shelves in a library (try not to look too "shadey" when you enter - you might be escorted off the premises immediately).

While you are there you can look up "charm" and "humour".

I don't even know if there is an answer to this question. Cosmopolitan fans on WTA seems to be an oxymoron.

The most civil and respectful fans are probably(among active players) Lindsay and Amelie fans, but probably b/c they're used to so much pain. Sharapova, Serena and Henin fans are probably the most vitriolic and cocky.

Original question:
Which player has fans, who respect other players, bear defeats of her favorite player and are able to look not only uncritical to her favorite player.
My answer:
Ana Ivanovic and Jelena Jankovic fans are the most cosmopolitan.
If I said Ana and Jelena it would have been sufficent.

Your response:
It says "fans", not "players".

My question to you:
Are you Belgian?

If you will re-read your reasoning, which you left out of your quoted text, you will see the problem. Your reasoning described characteristics of the players, not the fans.

There is no problem in my original post. You misunderstand, again. Admit it. Your response was wrong. Your understanding of the question is wrong. If I had given reason then I would have talked about the fans and not taking the opportunity to comment on the players.
