37 winners to 7.

Mauresmo played well.... but please don't get too exited. Mauresmo said it herself that she found Ditty a bit slow.

I, for my part, found Ditty to be extremely slow, any other player could have got her racket on at least 10 of those winners.... Ditty needs to work seriously on her movement.
Ditty isn't fat... just slow... and doesn't look like a very natural. Her game is nice enough, she just needs to learn to be on her toes.
She let many balls fly by her for winners... which made Mauresmo's winner count look overly amazing.

Anyway, well played Amelie.

I was hoping for Amé v Eleni, what a good looking match up :p

I really want to see Amé v Anna though, just to see if Amé has it in her to win a top 10 player and also to see if Anna can grow some balls anytime soon!

Allez Amélie keep it up

I read she's given Loic a week off - I really don't like the sound of this. Amélie's problems are her own doing and not her coache's, Loic, so I really hope this isn't the end of her partnership with him.

Not at all:

The last time she played a tournament without him (Rome, 2005) she won ;)

......Be reassured, just the same when he's not there, I have training partners, I don't play all alone against a wall.

 I love Amélie's sense of humour!

(please forgive the slightly inaccurate translation of the first part, my French isn't great! :p)
