Tamaryn :o Ultimate choke. Led 6-4, 4-0*, 30-30 and then lost 11 games in a row.

Congrats Kateryna. I guess Ukraine will now win 3-2. :worship:

Nothing to be ashamed of for Tammy, she's only 15. She really showed her potential.

Well done Katarina for hanging in there and getting through that dip in the first part of the second set!

Choke no doubt, but it was even more surprising that she was in a position to do it. Tamaryn is only 15 and ranked some 400 places below Kateryna...

Bondarenko doesn't belong in the top 50

Your criteria for top 50 are too high

Younger Bondarenko is a typical #30-50, but no higher player...

I did have Yanina in my sig, and okay will change that back again :). Still Kimmy fan, she's not over (and I don't mean in the sense that she is coming back).

Not in the future they are ;) Tammy Hendler is in the top-gun group of Nick Bolletieri :).

Soooo close, but this is more than promising. Keep this up and you'll be a great player. :D
The Belgians were not supposed to win a match and in the end nearly won the tie. Good weekend overall. ;)

Incredible performance by Tammy still! She is such an awesome and talented lil girl. Got the chance to see her in Charlottesville, probably her breakthrough pro tournament, and she was just unbelievable. Awesome tennis!

Tammy has already showed in both of her Fedcup-matches that she's a serious prospect for the future. I really hope she'll continue working hard and break her way in to the WTA top-100 in a few years. Keep up the good worl :yeah:

As for Yanina, she played incredible tennis to pretty much school two top-40 players on their home turf. I'm glad she's proving the non-believers wrong who claimed she can only win in insignificant Asian tournaments.

Overall, Belgium was expected to be humiliated but ended up almost winning it. It's nice to see some more then decent up-and-coming players after Kim and Justine.
