Irina's tall, very skinny, she's got a pretty good game, good at net as she's proven in doubles before, one-handed backhand, pretty nice serve. I think she was probably lacking some of the confidence in singles before, and now that she's been playing more and getting the wins together her game is really starting to come together aswell. Saw her play qualies in Toronto she easily beat Asagoe to qualify, I was very impressed with how easily she handled her.

Good luck in the finals Irina

Come on Seda, I hope you can win this final!!

For those of you who've never seen Seda play, well, I would say she has an attractive game, hitting things from the baseline more or less all the time, a fairly hard hitter but with no distinct strengths and few 'killer' shots. I think she's probably ventured in to the net about twice since the start of this year But I enjoy watching her, pity she lost 1st rd last time I saw her ;(

Well done Seda on getting to the final!

Yah, Seda is quite short (like Amanda, and she has blonde hair too! lol), so she doesn't really have a big weapon!

Hoping this will be enough to get her into MD AO!!! Please please!!!

Wow, how many is that this year for Irina? 4? 5?
More? lol. She really has improved heaps this year.

Admittedly I know next to nothing about her (except that she was highly ranked in dubs last year with Black)...but I am definately gonna keep my eye out for her this summer!

What is her rank now BTW?

Congratulations Irina Selyutina! (what a cool name! )

Great stuff, Irina ! This win should take her ranking to about 88.

TBE - you mentioned her BH. Irina has got a fantastic topspin BH, and she hits it so elegantly.

Irina Selyutina goes up 10 places to 87.
Seda Noorlander goes up 12 places to 94, her best ranking position for nearly 2 years, and easily enough to get direct entry to the A.O.
Well done to both.
Yes, Seda is quite short, but still five or six inches taller than Amanda C!
