Voila, she can retire now, her comeback has been thunderous ^^.

Seriously congrats Sesil, I believe everyone deserves a second chance, so I wish her all the best for her carrier hoping that she brings some competitiveness on tour. I didn't expect her at this level already, she has worked hard to stay in form obviously!

And she finish the match with her first ace of the match  :worship: :woohoo:

BTW the commentator says all the time "awesome" , "fantastic" , "unbelievable" , "great match" , "world class" about the both players during the match  It seems it was great match for both girls :yeah:

Congratulations Sesil. A very well deserved and much needed 25 ranking points go to her. That should help her a lot getting into more ITFs.

Anyone know where Sesil goes next?

Congrats Sesil :bounce:

I believe she will now play Fed Cup for Bulgaria starting week of Jan 28th. Someone here said that she has a QWC for 75k tournament in Michigan week after that (don't quote me one that one, though)...

As for the ranking, she needs two more results to get on the list. So the minimum ammount of points she can debute with will be 28. That would leave her at ca #540.

YES! Great tournament Sesil:bounce:

She gets a feed-up in the qualifying draw of Memphis after this as well, so it looks like she'll have a ranking at the end of next month after Memphis and Midland (assuming she wins a round in qualifying at Midland).

Yep, that tournament. It'll be great to see how she does there :)

Really proud of her for making this comeback completely on her own, without any help whatsoever. Mirjana Lucic should take a page from this girl's book.

I actually think this will work out VERY well for her.

Think about it, she's 18, her body hasn't been hammered in the last couple of years, so it's stronger now and she's less likely to develop injuries as a result of punishing still-soft bones.

In addition, she's fresher, more eager, she's had more time to work on her game, and
she's now free from the age eligibility ruling.

And wiser.

Let us not forget that Karantcheva was above Vaidisova in the juniors, and reached the top 40 before her 16th birthday.

I can't believe she's only 18. It seems like she's been around for ages, with all the fuss that went around her in the previous years.

She's probably so hungry right now, can't wait 'till she lands in a WTA tournament :toothy:

Everyone deserves a second chance, so does Sesil. Some of you treat her like she killed somebody. She paid for her mistakes, but now has to gain respect.
It's a rare feat to win 11 matches in a row so hats off! congratulations!Keep on winning!
