It's not hte best ranked player who is the LL anymore. Now, it's totally ramdom (a draw).

It was created to eliminate a situation when the higher ranked player know she can lose and still make in the MD.

IMO, it's ridiculous she can still compete in the tournamenet if she retired in a match.It's not the YEC.

In WTA tournaments its still the highest rankt players who get in.

If a player retired with heat illness and no injury ithink its OK to be a LL.

It is for all ITF events,since Grand Slams are ITF events they are using random LL system from last year on.

I dont think WTA changed their "highest ranked loser" LL system.

Rediculous that a player who retired in qualies is allowed to play the MD.

Some of the rules that the WTA makes are just so :o.

But she didn't retire with heat illness. She retired with a quad strain :confused:
