great win-great score :worship:

it looked like Kata was in good form

having said that I wouldnt be surprised it Rezai lost easily in the next round

she is great to watch though-I saw her lose to Fedak in Sydney qualies last year, she was in total control yet she lost-she went for her shots and its good to watch

when shes on :worship:

i hope she can reign it in even more this year then  she really will be a force to be reckoned with

Harsh reality - Rezai probably overpowered Katarina (and judging from the result she was successful in it)

ALLEZ! Great win :woohoo: Semi-Final is really good yet :D

But to forecast I have to wait :p - cos it's Rezai and there u never know. In 2007 from wins over Sharapova/Venus Williams to losses to players like Rodina - all was in :p

Kata

The scoreline suggests it was one of Aravane's days and she was hitting winners all over the court. Well done! :D

I watched this match and I was so impressed by Aravane. Not only her backhand, but she was getting winners from her forehand and even her serve! She was just incredibly impressive, pounding winners everywhere even when on the run or stretched out. If she can play like that consistently, she will be a force to be reckoned with in 2008. With just some minor improvements in her fitness, she would be very dangerous even for the top players. She not only hits with power, but seems to have great hands as well to keep the ball in play even when she is hitting it that hard.

Nice, thanks for the report. :hearts:

How is she looking physically in comparison to last year? Any trimmer?

yep i saw most of it and she did! kata just stood there and let winner after winner fly by. she didn't try to change things up she just hoped rezai would miss, then when rezai didn't she was looking round like what do i do when she hadn't tried to do anything different.

anyway rezai hit lots of winners and went for it so well done to her, kata stood the like a lemon!
