Hmmm. Let me think about that one and get back to you.

Serenidad.
Nov 27th, 2007, 04:03 AM
It isn't Serena's forehand. It's Serena's overhead. It comes back too often and finds her side of the net.

Sharapova's defensive slices.... they are getting better but still bad.

Hingis' serve especially the second serve. It's the reason the tour caught up with her and surpassed her and it is also the reason why she couldn't really find herself inside the top five no longer.

Davenport her movement, it improved greatly over the years but it will always remain her weakest asset on the court. Not nearly fast enough for todays athletic and fast paced tennis style, her groundies and wonderful timing will still allow her to be competitive at the very top.

Her serve is vastly underrated as well so that too will still keep her among the worlds top 6 when she's played at least two slams next year.

Hantuchova's drop shots

Hantuchova's drop shots

Her dropshots are very good in my opinion. She just overuses them from too far back, and that's where the errors come from.

Davenports... other than speed, shes perfect..

Venus - second serve, definitely.

Farina Elia Fan
Nov 27th, 2007, 04:22 PM
Ana Ivanovic - backhand

Vlad Tepes
Nov 27th, 2007, 04:43 PM
Since we're talking about Justine, I guess there isn't much to choose from. To my mind, it's her serve, don't get me wrong, it's powerful for someone of her stature, but she so often struggles with the first serve %.

Highlandman
Nov 27th, 2007, 05:16 PM
Venus - 2nd service
Roesch - service (Not bad shot, but not very powerful)
Dokic - Not-Consistant Service
Rezai - Volley

For Serena I have to say volleys (mainly because no one else has mentioned them). They were pretty awful all year.

serena- slice, dropshots
venus- second serve
maria- backhand slice(mostly defensive), her volleys are improving

LindsayRulz
Nov 27th, 2007, 05:35 PM
Lindsay doesn't really have a worst shot, I would say that her movement is the worst part of her game though.

Nov 27th, 2007, 05:37 PM
RIght now Venus second serve is really weak. Everything else is pretty good..I wish she could start back crackin her first serves consistently in the 100's

Serena...as far as shots...her forehand is weak as hell. She just coasts them across the net rather than rocket it like use to. Her MOVEMENT is her biggest problem though...she moves almost as slow as Monica Seles now.

My Favorite 2 Serena- Backhand Slice, She used it the best this year minus the FO QF where justine was probably laughing at them. But its slowly getting better but its still rubbish :) Then For Venus gotta be her 2nd Serve. For other players
Sharapova- Drop Shot
Justine- Forehand/Serve both have really improved tho

Filippo-Nastya
Nov 27th, 2007, 05:50 PM
Nastya - 2nd serve

thrust
Nov 27th, 2007, 05:51 PM
Justine- Inconsistant firs serve%. If she could raise her first serve to near 60%, she would be even more dominate than she is now.

Sean.
Nov 27th, 2007, 05:54 PM
Ana - backhand down the line
Juju - Kick serve

I can't say that Jennifer or Mary have a "worst" shot.

Nov 27th, 2007, 11:53 PM
Her MOVEMENT is her biggest problem though...she moves almost as slow as Monica Seles now.

You mean she moves as slow as Monica used to move. Monica is fast now

Lindsay doesn't really have a worst shot, I would say that her movement is the worst part of her game though.

I agree, the biggest kink in Lindsay's game is her movement.

Easily the backhand wing. Her slice and drop shot are good but everything else off that side sucks balls.

Daniela's 2nd serve.

I can't say that Jennifer or Mary have a "worst" shot.

Really?

Capriati's 2nd serve especially wasn't always a problem. Even her first serve in it's variety?

So Disrespectful
Nov 28th, 2007, 04:19 AM
Oh yes, I forgot that my post didn't submit. Daniela's biggest problem is her return of serve. It's almost like she doesn't think before hitting it. Sure her second serve is slow, but the kick makes it less attackable.

Nov 28th, 2007, 04:56 AM
Easily the backhand wing. Her slice and drop shot are good but everything else off that side sucks balls.

Yes Patty's backhand is her weakest shot, it can be easily attacked especially by the "Big babes" and it usually gets her into the defensive against most top players.

Do I need to say?

The Dawntreader
Nov 28th, 2007, 12:12 PM
Venus's second serve can get really predictable. It's predictable with the delivery, always slices it out wide in the deuce court, and then down the middle on the AD court. It gives her opponents too many patterns in play.....

Though on grass, she has more confidence to vary the second serve a bit more:)

The Dawntreader
Nov 28th, 2007, 12:15 PM
Im struggling to think of anything for Justine hmmmm  Her 1st serve % could a lot higher I suppose...

The forehand can get a bit patchy sometimes. Comes through with the racquet-head too quickly, and it can land in the bottom of the net, eg at Wimby this year.......

Though, this is very nit-picky on my part;)

BuTtErFrEnA
Nov 28th, 2007, 12:19 PM
It isn't Serena's forehand. It's Serena's overhead. It comes back too often and finds her side of the net.

are you kidding?? :spit: serena has one of the best overheads..9/10 times she will kill it...the 1 time is for players like jj who will run trying to chase it down and may get it back at times...

her bh slice is her worst shot...but its slowly improving

Venus - second serve, definitely.

Vania - Everything, I just love her for her spirit and coolness. :p

i don't think they mean at the moment just because the game is slightly off all together  i think it means even when the game is perfect this is still the shot that is the weakest

No look at vids. Serena's overhead is suspect.

sammy01
Nov 28th, 2007, 11:11 PM
chakvetadze - 2nd serve and slice - if she could get some kick on the second serve and slice low and effectively she'd be so hard to beat.

btw as for people saying davenport has no weak shot, i'd say her half volleys at the net are suspect and sometimes she dosen't even bother to bend down to them. though shes 6ft 2" so we can let her off!

Davenport backhand when she´s under pressure ( for example: Wimbledon final 2005, when she hit an weak backhand to the williams sister, that she put it away with a winner)
Sharapova slice/drop shots and volleys
Hingis forehand and second serve
