The City of Manila (Filipino (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Filipino_language): Lungsod ng Maynila), or simply Manila, is the capital (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capital) of the Philippines (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philippines) and one of the municipalities that make up Metro Manila (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metro_Manila). The city is located on the eastern shore of Manila Bay (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manila_Bay) on Luzon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luzon), the country's largest island.
Manila is the hub of a thriving metropolitan area home to over 10 million people. The Metro Manila (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metro_Manila) area also known as the National Capital Region (NCR), of which the City of Manila is a part, is a much bigger metropolis consisting of 17 cities and municipalities. This article discusses the city itself; see Metro Manila (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metro_Manila) for the article on the metropolis.
Manila is the second most populous city proper in the Philippines, with more than 1.6 million inhabitants. Only nearby Quezon City (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quezon_City), the country's former capital, is more populous. Manila is currently included in the roster of global cities (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_cities) of the world.
Well into the 13th century, the city consisted of a fortified settlement and trading quarter at the bay of the Pasig River, on top of previous older towns. The official name of the city under its Malay (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malay_people) aristocracy was Seludong/Selurung, which was the same name given for the general region of southwestern Luzon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luzon) at that time, suggesting that it was the capital of this territory. However, the city became well-known by the local name given to the city by its Tagalog (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tagalog_people) inhabitants: Maynilad. The name is from the phrase may nilad, Tagalog (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tagalog_language) for "there is nilad (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nilad)," in reference to the flowering mangrove plant that grew on the marshy shores of the bay, used to produce soap for regional trade. It is from the name Maynilad that the city of Manila derives its modern name.

Buenos Aires is the capital (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capital) and largest city of Argentina (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Argentina). It is located on the southern shore of the Río de la Plata (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R%C3%ADo_de_la_Plata), on the southeastern coast of the South American (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_America) continent.
After the internal conflicts of the 19th century, Buenos Aires was federalised (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federalisation_of_Buenos_Aires) and removed from Buenos Aires Province (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buenos_Aires_Province) in 1880 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1880); its city limits were enlarged to include the former towns of Belgrano and Flores; both are now neighbourhoods in the city (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barrios_of_Buenos_Aires).
Buenos Aires (English (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_language): Fair Winds, pronounced (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:IPA) [ˈbwe.nɔs ˈaj.ɾɛs]) was originally named after the sanctuary of "Nostra Signora di Bonaria (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Nostra_Signora_di_Bonaria&action=edit)" (Italian (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Italian_language) for "Our Lady of Good Air", also known in Spanish as "Virgine de Bonaria") located in Cagliari (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cagliari), Sardinia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sardinia).
Argentines sometimes refer to the city as Capital Federal to differentiate the city from the province of the same name. In the 1994 constitution (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1994_reform_of_the_Argentine_Constitution), the city was given autonomy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autonomous_entity), hence its formal name: Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires.
As of the census of 2001, there are 12.4 Million People, residing in the city and residential zones. The population density is 13.000 hab/km² making Buenos Aires the most populated city in Argentina. The racial makeup of the city is 80% White,2.00% Black or African American,15% Native American, 2.02% Asian,3.50% from other races, and 5.00% from two or more races. 3% of the population have origins in Countries like Perú, Bolivia and Paraguay.

Aurangabad (pronunciation (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/2/20/Aurangabad.ogg) (help (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Media_help)·info (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Aurangabad.ogg)) (औरंगाबाद) from Persian (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Persian_language) اورنگ*آباد meaning "Built by the Throne", named after Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aurangzeb)) is a city in Maharashtra (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maharashtra), India. The city is a tourist hub, surrounded with many historical monuments including Ajanta (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ajanta) and Ellora (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ellora) World heritage sites. This district center is the administrative headquarter of Aurangabad Division (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aurangabad_Division), or Marathwada (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marathwada) region.
There was a village named Kirki (Khadki) where the city stands today. According to some historians, the city was founded in 1610 by Malik Ambar (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malik_Ambar). Malik Ambar was the Prime Minister (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prime_Minister) of Murtaza Nizam Shah II (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Murtaza_Nizam_Shah_II&action=edit) of Ahmednagar (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ahmednagar), the then ruler of the Deccan (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deccan) (central parts of Southern India). It is widely believed that city took shape between 1604 and 1610 under Malik Ambar's rule. Initially, it was named Fatehpura (city of Victory), probably after Malik's son Fateh Khan.
Textiles, embroidered finery and various kinds of beads made in nearby Paithan were exported to the markets of Greece, Rome and Egypt.
In 1634, Aurangzeb (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aurangzeb) was sent to Kirki as Governor (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Governor) of Deccan. In 1644, he moved to Agra to play an active role in Mughal politics.
In 1681, the city again became the residence of Aurangzeb, who had now become Mughal Emperor. He used the city as a base for his campaigns to conquer the last remaining Deccan sultanates (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deccan_sultanates) until his death in 1707 AD. The modern name of the city was probably taken during his period. Aurangzeb's tomb is situated at Khultabad (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khultabad), a small town near the city
