Pfft, Jelena has nothing in the tank, flat and no spirit.

Justine played amazing nonetheless.

Nov 7th, 2007, 06:42 PM
  :yeah:

Nov 7th, 2007, 06:42 PM
doh jelena. i hope you keep your promise by cutting down.

exceptionally good tennis by justine and looks a very big favourite to win the title:)

Nov 7th, 2007, 06:42 PM
:woohoo: great job Justine :woohoo:

Nov 7th, 2007, 06:42 PM
Jelena :(

Good job Justine

Nov 7th, 2007, 06:42 PM
How dare the people of Madrid not turn out in droves to watch this instant classic!

Nov 7th, 2007, 06:43 PM

Nov 7th, 2007, 06:43 PM
Justine played really well. :yeah:

But Jelena seemed to be in a weird mood. She didn't really turn up.

Nov 7th, 2007, 06:44 PM
Wow...that was a BEAT DOWN!!! Just give the trophy to Justine. I'm not sure she'll even lose a set throughout the YEC. She's playing amazing tennis and she didn't even play as well as she could have today. She's so aggressive on the points, has great variety and court coverage. I can't see any one of the other 7 beating her.

Nov 7th, 2007, 06:44 PM
Justine was outstanding in moments. Great match

Nov 7th, 2007, 06:44 PM
Expected. :)

Jelena didn't look for one second that she believed she could beat Justine. :o I doubt she will get to the SF with this attitude.

Allez Justine! :yeah: Almost sure in the SF! ;) Like it was ever in doubt...

Nov 7th, 2007, 06:44 PM
Keep going Justine!

Nov 7th, 2007, 06:45 PM
Good showings here from Henin!

Nov 7th, 2007, 06:45 PM
Justine was in supreme form. She played so aggressively. Jankovic, on the other hand, was in bad shape today. She didn't seem like herself out there. If Serena is in somewhat decent form, she should be able to beat Jankovic.

Nov 7th, 2007, 06:45 PM
:woohoo: Well done, Justine!

3 more to go!

Nov 7th, 2007, 06:45 PM
Henin is too much

Nov 7th, 2007, 06:46 PM
juju is just too good :D

Nov 7th, 2007, 06:46 PM
Just too good. :)

Nov 7th, 2007, 06:47 PM
F*CK IT!!!

Nov 7th, 2007, 06:48 PM
poor Jelena
.....but not really cuz she's cashing out big even though she lost.

Nov 7th, 2007, 06:49 PM
at this rate i think anna might qualify into the semis

Nov 7th, 2007, 06:49 PM
Dudes if Serena wins today, Justine is for sure in the SF?

Nov 7th, 2007, 06:49 PM
Boring match with plenty of UEs and with Henin being more annoying with her allez on JJ's errors than usually :help:
Btw it's sad that this tournament is in Madrid, no one in the crowds, on one is interested :help:

justine schnyder
Nov 7th, 2007, 06:49 PM
Justine played very good :)
But JJ was very flat... She could do better than that if it was 5 months ago..

Nov 7th, 2007, 06:49 PM
Justine :worship: hope Serena will get this as well

Jelena  less tourneys next year?

Nov 7th, 2007, 06:50 PM

Nov 7th, 2007, 06:51 PM
I just hope that Jelena had a bad day.
Although she seemed to be lacking will and determination to do well.

Nov 7th, 2007, 06:51 PM
Jelena hasn't played enough the past few weeks. She is best when she plays many weeks in a row.

Nov 7th, 2007, 06:51 PM
pfft that's the last time i cheer for you lol jk

Nov 7th, 2007, 06:52 PM
Jelena :help:
that was afwul

Nov 7th, 2007, 06:53 PM
Jeca
35% on serve won?????!!!!!!!! wtf!

Nov 7th, 2007, 06:53 PM
I am really so happy Justine played so well. She needs to be efficient and brutal to save energy. Sorry it had to happen to Jankovic whom I like but it is great for JUJU's confidence which is most important.

Justine's new wrinkles today: Improved backhand strength, improved use of slice down the line, moved serve around a bit more, returns a bit more consistent IMO, forehand still shaky but got better as she went along, passing shots after drawing JJ into the net were tough, volleys with more angle than usual IMO. overall, I see some improvements in her level

Nov 7th, 2007, 06:55 PM
Hopefully that will be the worst match of the tournament. Nothing even remotely compelling.

Nov 7th, 2007, 06:57 PM
This isn't a match. It's a massacre. :tape:

Justine played so bloody well today... perfect serve and volley , backhands that you would want to watch again and again :hearts: I'm extremly proud of her now... she is the undisputed #1 :bounce:

Jelena... Anna took off more games from Justine than you did.... :help: (Well, wish you good luck against Serena and Anna then... )

Nov 7th, 2007, 06:59 PM
:justine

Nov 7th, 2007, 07:01 PM
Dudes if Serena wins today, Justine is for sure in the SF?

Not yet but probably will be. Serena will have to beat chakvetadze and henin conceding only 11 games and no sets and the JJ would have to beat serena and chakvetadze in similar scorelines. You get the pic. Its doubtful.

Nov 7th, 2007, 07:02 PM
See what happens when Jelena takes a three-week break.

Nov 7th, 2007, 07:03 PM
Where is warning for Jankovic for that level of play????? How much money she could take for losing this match????

Nov 7th, 2007, 07:03 PM
The question is if she played this bad on purpose. I mean the bad attitude...the " i dont care where i hit" thing. She's maybe focusing on next two matches. Cause this today was her worst performance since.......hm....10 matches losing streak....maybe if she losses all 3 matches and loses her will for tennis, the gets back to the hype and get better...lets say mid april-may... LOL

Total TANK!

Nov 7th, 2007, 07:05 PM
She did not play that well but, folks, seriously, don't try to take ANY CREDIT away from Juju who was just sparkling with talent today!

Nov 7th, 2007, 07:16 PM
Way to go, Justine!

Ana is more talented than Jelena anyway. :wavey:

Nov 7th, 2007, 07:19 PM

Nov 7th, 2007, 07:24 PM
Jelena, these are the YECs, try not to stink the place up again

Henin's the best
Nov 7th, 2007, 07:38 PM
What an awful match:o

Next match against Serena?

Nov 7th, 2007, 07:40 PM
Okay, that was entirely TOO quick! Maybe Justine really does have a h@wt Sp@n!sh date?

Nov 7th, 2007, 07:41 PM
Disappointing result for Jelena, hope she finds some energy for the rest of the week. Justine played very well.

Nov 7th, 2007, 07:43 PM
Brilliant win Justine,congrats!!

Nov 7th, 2007, 07:49 PM
yay! good win justine!!! im so so happy!!!:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Nov 7th, 2007, 07:56 PM
She is too good :D

Nov 7th, 2007, 08:11 PM
Horrible match. Can't stand Henin anymore.

Nov 7th, 2007, 08:15 PM
H2H 9-0 Justine owns Jelena FOREVER.
Justine didn't play exceptionally well. It should've been 62 60.
I'm pretty sure a power hitter could put her down. Her 1st serve is pretty weak these days.

Nov 7th, 2007, 08:27 PM
Good job, Justine :yeah:

Nov 7th, 2007, 09:03 PM
See what happens when Jelena takes a three-week break.

well it would have only been closer.

jelena :help: good luck in the next two.

grats, justine! :)

miss molly
Nov 7th, 2007, 09:07 PM
Congrats Ju! Good luck for your next match.

Nov 7th, 2007, 09:18 PM
jelena :help:

Nov 7th, 2007, 10:00 PM
The match was overall quite boring... however some of the points from Justine were just amazing... particularly that cross court backhand in the 2nd set. The volleys aswell :worship: If she keeps this level up and gets more 1st serves in, the title is hers. ALLEZ JUSTINE! :)

Nov 7th, 2007, 10:12 PM
Jelena has been slumping for quite a while now, where is her great form of the middle of the year??? Cmon Jelena, at least give everything you have, it's the last tournament of the year!!

Nov 7th, 2007, 10:22 PM
Jelena :(

Steffica Greles
Nov 7th, 2007, 10:52 PM
Jankovic is actually merely an above average player, who makes the most of her talents. She's very much in the mould of Myskina, only with softer hands, but an equally lame serve, and with less bite on her forehand than Ana, who could attack from that wing.

So it's no surprise that she loses 2&2 to quite possibly the player of the decade.

Nov 7th, 2007, 10:56 PM
Jelena :tape:

Nov 7th, 2007, 10:58 PM
Jankovic hasn't played well since the US Open, she was awful today :help: Congrats Justine :yeah:

Nov 7th, 2007, 11:20 PM
Justine :) :worship:

:help: Jankovic :tape:

Nov 7th, 2007, 11:25 PM
Yay Justine you rock! fantastic. Rest up Jelena, want you to come back strong next year!

Nov 7th, 2007, 11:57 PM
I was very disappointed with JJ today. She was beaten before she even played - she never showed a shred of belief that she could win, so so negative. Very poor. OTOH, Anna C, was much more positive against a wounded Serena. Yes, Serena should not have bothered showing up by the looks of her. Venus (and her lovely new haircut) even with her dizzy spells would have been a more convincing competitor.

If there's a match people want to see almost as much as Justine v Serena, it's Justine v Bartoli. Marion isn't fully fit, but I'm sure Henin would absolutely LOVE to get her revenge for her most painful loss of 2007.

Nov 8th, 2007, 01:05 AM
This loss is probably a mental thing. The 0-8 H2H (now 0-9) record would've been plaguing Jelena's mind. Once Henin grabbed the lead, she probably lost any shred of confidence she had.

And her (over) scheduling caught up to her. I got the impression she overestimated the benefits of match practice and didn't account for fatigue :help: Her coach should've encouraged her to plan and prioritise.

For her sake, I hope she picks things up. Jelena's done so well, it'll be a shame if she doesn't end the season on a high.

Nov 8th, 2007, 01:24 AM
Jelena  :help:
Good luck in your next match.

Congrats, Justine! Should be a great match against Marion! :D

Nov 8th, 2007, 01:58 AM
:awww: Jelena. Their H2H record makes me cry...

Nov 8th, 2007, 02:10 AM

Nov 8th, 2007, 02:44 AM
Next time is jelena's win! Remember what she said: I won't lose to the same player ten times in a row.

Nov 8th, 2007, 02:48 AM

Jelena :o
