The only one I saw was the Zurich 2000 final, and I remember being absolutely gutted afterwards   Still it was a great match, I loved the two Slam finals they played also ;)

The Aussie Open final was Lindsay at her best. She got to 6-1 5-1 in like 38 minutes:eek: :worship:

I think in terms of best collective quality was their 98 YEC clash. both girls just slugging it out:)

cause it was linds's first gs and it was her mom's b-day. :D

Because it really felt like the nail in the coffin of Hingis' dominance of women's tennis. Things got a lot more interesting after that. Also, Hingis chilled out a lot and I started liking her a little more after that loss.

The Philadelphia final in 1997 looks quite special, but I've never seen it.

My favourite one, even though it wasn't very competitve was the AO Final 2000, Lindsay at her best, but Martina trying bless her :p

I really loved their Zurich 2000 final. In terms of quality, it was absolutely mind-blowing.

Sydney 2001 final was a great match. Martina really enjoyed that match. And Zurich final, having won there meant much for Martina!

The 2000 Swisscom Challenge final was fabulous, and so was the 2001 Sydney final:worship: The 2006 IW 4th round was a very special one, as Martina was just coming back, but Lindsay was injured...

My faverite Lindsay vs Martina matches both happened in 2000. The first being the Australian open final the way Lindsay gave Martina a butt spanking for most of the match was priceless. The second being the indian well final Martina had Lindsay a set and a break down and Lindsay won the last ten games and the thrid set 6-0 love that match.

2000 Zurich Final - High-quality match.
1998 US Open Final - Great win for Lindsay.
2000 Miami Final - The reason I like this, is because it was in this match wherein Hingis stopped Lindsay's five-match winning streak against her.

1997 Philadelphia- this final was sick! filled with drama and not to mention the score line. I think this win took the wind out of Martina's sails and why she lost to Pierce in the YEC that year.

1999-11-15 Master Indoor Carpet F Davenport 6-4 6-2: Lindsay played the perfect match!
1998-08-31 U.S. Open Hardcourt F Davenport 6-3 7-5: it was Lindsay's first GS win.

Acura 1997 b/c I was there. I was disappointed that Martina lost but it was the level of tennis that I will never forget. :)

I think its insane that 14 of their 24 completed matches were three setters.

the 2000 aussie open final for me redefined the term, beatdown!!! up to 6-1 5-1 it was just :bolt::bolt::bolt::bolt::smash::smash::smash::smas h:

one of the highest quality play from anyone ive ever seen, it was actualy scary to watch. all hingis' arrogance was knocked out of her that day! it was sitting at 3am in the morning in my bed unable to take in the kinda tennis lindsay was playing. without doubt the best big match performance of lindsays career!

you guys already had the whole "reminiscing on martina" thing in 2002 when she quit the first time. nothing's really changed except now some people think she's been shoveling snow up her nose. let's focus on that.

not really -- most people didn't respect her in her early career  i'd say people seem far more appreciative of her game now that she is leaving the second time.

all from around her retirement time and before she came back. suck on that.

i mean, how many threads does an inactive player need?

wow, under a dozen threads in the span of years! proves your point :weirdo:

and there can never be enough hingis threads, she is an all-time great and the most talented player of her generation. in fact i think i'll make another hingis thread right now :)

It does prove my point. 11 threads in about 2 1/2 years about a player who did nothing but stop playing is more than enough.

but I agree with you about the talent thing. I love her. sad to see her go.
