Thailand are certain winners from Group A.

Group B could become a tussle.

I think Taiwan vs. Japan will decide the winner from Group B. Iroda could score a win or two in singles but Farrukh isn't going to beat Kei or Lu.

Did anyone record her match?

Michael!

I saw the match between Iroda and Morita.
And Iroda played bad :o . She still got the power, but she made
too many unforced errors and was really slow on the court!

Well done Japan. Well done Ayumi. Shame to hear that Iroda played badly.

It will be very interesting to see whether Japan or Taipei make the final. I can't decide who I want to win this tournament out of Thailand, Japan and Taipei. It would be nice to see Japan at the Hopman Cup, the same could be said for Taipei, but Thailand are probably the strongest team here.

Congrats Taipei! Now the Japan vs Taipei tie will decide who advances to the final out of Group B. Exciting...

Thailand should easily make the final, and if they don't, they should be ashamed. :)

I don't know, I'm just checking the scores on Jiro's scoreboard on his site.

Oh by the way, is Taiwan known as Taiwan or Chinese Taipei? I thought it was now Chinese Taipei but a lot of people still refer to it as Taiwan.

We want to call ourselves as from Taiwan,we're Taiwanese. However we can't.We have to use "Chinese Taipei" on public occasions. :tape: But what's that??? :o Taipei is only a capital city,a part of Taiwan. It's like you won't say Bangkok meaning Thailand. We use Chinese(Manderin) but we're not Chinese. This is a complicated political issue.I can only say,we,or our players would like to hear Taiwan better than Chinese Taipei.

Nicky_608, I thought Morita & Nishikori won the mixed doubles?

Japan lost. I wanted them to win the tournament.

Anyway, I don't really mind who wins out of Thailand and Taiwan. Good luck to both and I hope they all fight hard.

No. They were in the same group as Taiwan. Taiwan beat Japan, therefore being the one to advance to the final. Japan was second in that group.
