Are you going to add a poll?
I say Daniela, ;)

depends on maria...this match is hers to win or lose...so i say maria if she's above 50%

I don't think Maria would have shown up if she was going to lose to Daniela. She's always been better than her, and her domination of her should continue.
I hope they have a good match though, regardless of the winner. I want these two in the semis (or at least one).

I say Daniela wins in three sets. 3-6, 6-1, 6-3 or something like that.

Maria then proceeds to withdraw from the tournament due to her shoulder. :awww:

Dani is in the better form, but Maria is much more reliable in these situations, I say she'll tough out a 7-5 7-6 type win.

Uhm, what actually happens when a player withdraws from the RR so early? Do the alternates get a chance then ?

Yep.

And then are they just playing for cash?

Sharapova 64 75. Azarenka and Radwanska can move. Daniela...not so well.

But Daniela can indeed win.

Masha hasn't played for a while and no idea whether her shoulder is all ok, so I'd try to be neutral this time.

Although, I really want to see her doing good.

This is a very tough match to pick, especially with a couple of personal favorites like Maria and Dani. I like Maria in 3 sets.

I think Maria in 2 tough sets.

Agreed I'm not sure what to think, it all does depend on whether Maria's serve is on or off, and how choky Dani happens to be. Although i'd like Dani to win, my pick would probably be Maria.

depends on maria.
but im gonna go with dani:)

I'm actually picking Hantuchova not considering my love for her at all. It's probably 60-40 to her favour in my head, but anything could happen and it wouldn't be a shock if she didn't get more than 5 games off Maria really.

I think it really depends on Maria.

If she has practised enough for her serve, she will definitely win.

If her shoulder is 90% recovered, she does have a chance to make herself into semi-final.

She's much more experienced in handling this situation,

despite the fact that she's much younger than Daniela.

Im not sure how Masha will go this match all depends on whether she is healthy and can play well. I just hope she shoulder holds up.

That's an interesting observation. Sharapova lost to good movers in her poor matches. I really can't see Maria being outhustled by Daniela.

However, if Daniela is taking the initiative away from Maria (which hasn't happened in their matches), it could be Maria on the run.

I think and hope Masha! A healthy Sharapova.

I thought i would never say this but...Hantuchova. If you look at the 'forms' lately and the frame of MIND of both of them - the desire and gratitude that Hantu has just being there, and then look at Maria's fragile physical and mental (usopen) mindset, I'd have to say Hantuchova in two.

Maria in 2 sets. its in her hands imo

A 30% fit Maria would beat Hantuchova.

Depends if Maria is more than 30% healthy, if so then she will win

I think Maria will be motivated this week and win this in 2

For the 1st time in ages Dani is actually the one in better form, and seeing as it's not exactly a pressured situation i doubt she'll choke in any way. In saying that, i'd still imagine something similar to their last match in Zurich last year, though i hope Dani can win in 2.

If it's Moscow Maria out there, Dani will win. Otherwise Maria has a good chance.

If Maria's shoulder is crap, Daniela will win.

I'm gonna say Maria in three sets.
