In an interview a couple of days ago for Romanian TV, Sorana said that she is committed to improving her game and wants to break the top 50 sometime next year. She also mentioned that she's glad there are other Romanian girls who are doing well, as they motivate each other to work harder and confirm their results as juniors :)

Will she achieve her goal for 2008 and how far do you think she can climb in the following years?

I'm also still not sure about her potential, she had some bad losses this year, but not everyone can reach the top 20 so soon, maybe she'll need another year or two to improve her game.

I think she can do it :)

Possibly in the future - maybe not next year though.

top 50 shouldnt be a problem for Sorana ;)

If she stays healthy, she can do better than that.

I believe top 50 shouldnt be a problem for her if she keeps her focus & not have bad losses like she did this year :)

Go luck on her goal! She may do it!

She can reach the top 50 by late next year.

Beyond that is blurry. It depends on what she shows us next year.

Top 50 for sure. If Olga Poutchova can be in the top 30 range. :tape:

I think she can reach it. She could go higher, but she seems to be very streaky, have a good tournament, and then play awful the next week, or vice versa. If she have more consistant results I think she can go higher.

I believe she can go top 50 or further in 2008. Already made a final and has had a good year on the tour despite some bad losses. Of course, she needs to be more consistent.

Top 50 next year? No problemo.

I think Cirstea is going to pull a Jelena Dokic circa '99 Wimbledon and upset Ivanovic in the AO first round. :) Sorry Ivanovic, but I have a feeling. Cirstea's backhand is freakin makes me shake in my boots. :)
