And -- once again -- Chakvetadze plays NOTHING like Hingis. They have not one similar shot in their repitoire. Hingis was a crafty player who played the percentages and took the ball extremely early to control points. Chakvetadze is yet another mindless drone, she hits flat and ends each match with 50 unforced errors. Anna hits left, hits right, left, right, left, right, rinse and repeat... no lobs, no slices, no volleys, no drop shots... get a clue people.

And I'll agree somewhat with the poster who said Myskina... Nastya had a pretty inventive game and a nice backhand. She was tactically very different from Hingis however.

Chaky has great anticipation like Martina, that's about it.
Radwanska is the most similar but still they play very differently.

If you really look closely at strategy and stroke production, it's hard to think of anyone who plays like Hingis did. She was unique in her approach, much like Seles, Graf and Navratilova, for example.

Of course, on a more superficial level, it's not hard to find players who have some of the following traits: a lack of power, ability to take the ball early, consistency, defensive savvy, great anticipation, superior court sense, craftiness, touch, skills at net. It's putting these things together that made Hingis special.

Radwanska doesn't hit with much power and when confident can take the net away from her opponents. Also she's the only player I can think of that has the drop shot in her repitoire nowadays, other than Hingis of course.

Looking at Agnieska's shot production, she's nothing like Martina, espcially on the backhand and of course the serve.

No one and with the way ball-bashers are still being produced, no one will come close for a while.

Players like Venus, Davenport, and Hingis all have unique traits that we may not see for a long time. That's what made that generation so amazing.

anyone who will not miss Hingis is not a true tennis fan. Hopefully, someone like her will come up but I dont see it happening unfortunately.

Chakvetadze plays nothing like Hingis and I've only seen A. Radwanska play once or twice, but IMO, she's not close either.
