You know, when you're all excited to watch a movie.... you line up first in the line so you can get the best seats in the house, got yourself the biggest popcorn to chew on and on while the show goes on... then the climatic moment approaches... you wait eagerly to know how it all ends... and then... you get an ending which stinks like shit for 3 days.

Yes, the endings which ruined a great movie. A great trilogy. Or a great expectation.

Has this ever happened to you? And how you think it should have ended :wavey:

I think the ending to Heathers is a big let down. They should have blown up the entire school.

I only say that because it is a film I really like. Obviously the ending to Braveheart is rubbish, but since I don't like the film, it doesn't matter.

I kind of agree aboutt he Iceberg. They should have just thrown DiCaprio overboard for annoying everyone and be done with it.

I didn't like the idea of the Prom in Heaven actually. I just thought they should allow the school to be blown up - with Veronica outside as the sole survivor of course. She gets to live with the guilt. I think Dan Waters originally wanted Kubrick to direct and his first draft sounds a bit pretentious and apparently about 3 hours long. They made a lot of good changes, it's just that one scene at the end that bugs!

L.A. Confidential's ending was bs. They all should have died in the shoot-out and Kim forced back into prostitution. I'm telling you, that film will never become a classic because the stupid feel-good ending they slapped on.

I loved "A Christmas Story" but I hated the ending. I get pissed when those wild dogs come in and eat up the old man's turkey dinner. I would love to go back and watch them have a nice Christmas dinner. I mean his leg lamp busted all up so the least he could do was get to eat a turkey leg.

great movie, up until the most random ending ever. at least you couldn't see it coming. there's nothing worse than a predictable ending.

Scream 3, how retarded was that ending. You actually expected me to believe all that

Suicide Club. It was a cool film to watch, loads of gore. A great Japanese horror film, but the ending was poor.

"Boys N the Hood". I didn't want the star athlete to die in the end. The ending pissed me off.

^ ^ I agree with what Helen said...and I apply the same principle to the ending of "A Christmas Story" which is why I liked the ending at the Chinese food joint. That was a fitting ending IMO.

I hated the ending of the last LOTR movie...because they drug on for too long! (I had to go to the bathroom, left, thought it would be over, came back into the theater, and still had to set for a half hour).

The ending of the final Matrix film sucked a big one too.

"Imitation Of Life" I wanted the biracial chic to tell her mother she loved her before her mom died. I would like to see the Biracial girl to be at her mothers side when she was dying.

"Gone with the Wind". I wanted Scarlett to run after Rhett after he said "Frankly My Dear I don't Give a Damn" Tomorrow is another day but Rhett was fed up. Miss Scarlett should of begged that man back. She knew and he knew he still loved her. He wantd to see how much.

"Terms of Endearment" I wanted a Miraculous recovery for the daughter. I didn't want her to die in the end.

I am a sucker for happy endings. I can't stand sad endings to movies. Afterall I watch film to escape from reality. LOL

"The Graduate" Ok the last Bus Ride was kinda retarded. Why couldn't we see them both be married. We saw this entire start up wedding that she was going to have.

I wanted them to either show their own wedding at the end or have the guy (forgot his name) to kick the jock groom out of the way and marry the girl right then and there in front of her mom. LOL

"The Neverending Story" I want to know to this day what that princesses name was????? I want to know.

"Pulp Fiction" I want to know what in the hell was in the briefcase.

Yes but I like to think that they got back together in the end. She was a determined lady. You just know she got what she wanted in the end. (ugh @ the actual sequal to GWTW)

I agree. You did get the sense that got back together. I just wanted to see it on my screen. LOL

I mean Scarlett was fiesty and Rhett loved her, and she loved him. She just didn't realize it until the end. LMAO

A cheesy movie could have been great had they ended it when Sandler dies outside the hospital in the rain. Fuckin lame Disney endings

Stardust. I don't how like. Victoria or whatever and her husband went to the Stormhold king celebration thing. I don't know, it all just ended weirdly with extra cheese.

LOTR... well, what ending do you mean? It had like 7 or so...
very annoying.
i was upset with the ending of The Departed. Loved the ending of Casino Royale, finally one of the chicks who dies, great!
And then I hate the endings of all the cheesy movies liek Monster in Law, I wouldv'e loved it, if she had just left and stayed unhappy forever:D
And then I have a love/hate realationsship to Sebastians death in Cruel Intensions (Whitterspoon and Phillipp), I love that it surprised you and they didn't get each other, it took the movie to a new level, but I always cry watching it...

I just finished watching Premonition. OMG did that blow. If she can't change the future to save her husband and he died in the first 10 minutes the whole 2 hours is basically wasted since we know what happened to him and what was going to happen to him.
