Serena's Diary

Hey Guys,

The missing blackberry really hurt me.

Here's what happened: I went to Paris to relax, and as I was leaving the hotel I decided I wanted to go to the FENDI store. I saw some fabulous boots there that I thought would go great in my fall repertoire. Well I also had to use the bathroom really bad... so the driver dropped me and my friend *Paul off at the corner and we walked to the FENDI store. I asked the employee if I could use the bathroom. I went to the bathroom with my purse and came out and looked at a dress. I never sat my purse down I just was holding it. Later I tried on the boots and put my purse down. I liked the boots so I decided to buy them. I picked up my purse and noticed my blackberry was missing. So I paid for the boots and looked for the bb. It was no where to be found. I called it and found out that it was turned OFF. Someone got it and turned it OFF. For all of you out there that have blackberry’s they’re not easy to turn off, you have to purposely turn them off or they will always stay on. Every time I called it went straight to voicemail. Someone took it out of my purse and turned it off so when I called it I would not hear it ring. Who would do this people? I mean really! It’s so upsetting and I feel as though my privacy has been violated. I feel raw and alone now that I don't have my bb. My bb is out there all alone cold and scared. She had a great life a warm bed and a wonderful mom that took great care of her. I wish I could just see her one more time. I did not even get chance to say goodbye. Needless to say I was super depressed but I also was fairly calm. I never thought that we would part. She's lost forever in Paris. :( I still tear up when I think about her. So to make me feel better Paul kept telling me we will find it but I wonder if he really believed it himself. Anyways he promised me and my Mom a great dinner! And it would lift my spirits.

Dinner def did lift my spirits as I love the food and we went to this restaurant called "Ginger". What's strange is for Roland Garros "the French open" I stayed 1 block from Ginger and I never visited the restaurant. Nonetheless for the first time in my life I had a glass (or two or three) of wine! I hate wine and I never drink wine. But I decided because I was in France I should give it a go. So check out the pic of me and my first enjoyment in a glass of wine! I'm growing up guys! Your lil Serena is growing up!!

Ok so here's my saying of the day today: "Always stay positive. No matter what you are going through, know that God will never give u more than u can’t handle."

So no matter what u do be positive. No matter what u face look it straight in the eye no matter how afraid u may be!!

Love u!!
Xxx

Seriously what is your problem? You go around to every Serena thread and complain about her. If you don't like her then whats the point of reading her diary and postiing negative comments. Don't you have anything else better to do?

I was actualy thinking the same. It's the first time in my
life I've been reading Serena's blogs, and I kind of knew what
to expect, but this is really worrying.
If these blogs were written by a 15 year old, it would still
be sad, but at least that kid would have an excuse : teenager's
brains are not fully developed yet, which automaticaly leads to
dramatic and hysterical behaviour, extremes in thought- and
emotional processes, black and white thinking, irrationality,
egocentrism, etc ...

But this coming out of the mouth of an adult woman, not only
has immaturity written all over it, but more than that, it's
overt narcissism, expressed in the saddest and most uneducated
way possible.
Which in some way is good. The more intellectual narcissists,
have way more strategies to fool us in the short or long term,
which means more hurt for the people close to them.
Nevertheless, deep inside all narcissists feel extremely lonely.

The whole thing about it being sad and alone?
I seriously hope I never lose mine or get mine stolen as I will throw a fit. I wouldn't think it's sad and alone, I would think it's being sold on ebay, but whatevs.

It's really simple, Serena cannot talk about her tennis, it's too painful but feels a need to comfort her fan base i.e. this blog. In a way its denial, she is denying these crushing defeats are affecting her. Serena we know better, but it is okay, we loved you when you played great and we love you now that you are struggling. Work on that fitness and game.

i feel so sad for her blackberry, it has lost a mother! oh poor orphan.......it must be starving, hungry and in need of some love now boo hoo.

on another note, wouldn't the people on her blackberry now panic and feel violated? just like those pedophiles senators of US.....or those who call prostitutes, cos now the thieves know who they call and hence what they do? LOL.

Exactly. If she did, she'd likely be the women's Roger Federer -- the best to ever play the game with every record and several Grand Slams (I mean THE GS -- all 4 in one year).

I wish she'd sleep, eat, and breath just enough tennis to kick Henin a** at YEC!

Did you read the article?

The point is, she made light of it by saying that she was it's mommy and provided a warm home for it. She did not make any mention of personal details being leaked. Hence the fact that people thought she was worked up just over the fact that her "baby" was missing.

Uh, yeah I DID read the article. Regardless of what she wrote, I stated that I understood her feeling sad at losing her "BB." And that I'd be particularly upset at losing the info. I think someone else made a similar comment, but in a more amusing fashion.

In my opinion, Serena is being tongue in cheek with her writing style. Many of us have some device or whatever that is like "our baby." For me, its this damned 8 year old Dell that keeps on working so I don't upgrade. Its my baby that I'd hate to lose (although time and circumstance are not on my side).

Poor Serena :( Lol, but her blogs are humorous. Only Serena haters and/or individuals with dry personalities or people who try to use their "professional" knowledge to judge people...which is also humorous...would think otherwise. The blogs are created in a fan-oriented way, which is to allow readers to see a side of her that is different from the already-known on court stuff. She's an outgoing person who likes to share her stories. It's great that she changed her old site to the new version.
