OK folks up first in singles action today it is Bartoli versus the qualifier Shuai Peng (ranked 49). They have played twice but have not met since 2006 and the meetings between them are one each. However, Peng last beat Bartoli way back in Guangzhou in 2004 so I am not sure how relevant that history is since Bartoli has climbed into the top 15 and has beaten some of the top 10 women this year including Henin at Wimbeldon.

Promises to be a full day of action so stay close to your computer or television as the case may be.
