Laine/Johansson Bt Paszek/Arvidsson 2-1 (0-1-1)

Paszek and Arvidsson started really well and were putting away the ball with great volleys and overheads, Laine and Johansson played very badly and conceeded the 1st set after to many missed volleys and unforced errors. Sets 2 and 3 were solid from Laine espiecally, she got into the net after serving and put so many volleys away. Arvidsson and Paszek really lacked fight in the third and Laine and Johansson were thrilled with their 3 set win.

Szavay/Jidkova Bt Dementieva/Malek 2-1 (1-0-1)

Jidkova/Szavay started with dominance and Malek and Dementieva didnt get a look in as they stormed to the first set. Dementieva and Malek started to bond and work out their formation more, Elena came to the net more and hit great volleys and Malek showed fine creativity, enough to take the second set. The third was of a extremely high quality Malek and Dementieva continued their form from the 2nd set but Szavay and Jidkova won what was a very tight final set.

Malek/Dementieva Bt Arvidsson/Paszek 2-1 (0-1-1)

Tatjana and Elena started slowly and missed lots of simple volleys, Arvidsson and Paszek were varying their court postions and it worked the variety they used gave them the 1st set. Elena felt a slight niggle mid way through the 2nd set but her and Malek won it comfortably as Arvidsson and Paszek lost focus. The 3rd set was tigher but Elena and Tatjana fought for it and eventually prevailed.

Jidkova/Szavay Bt Laine/Johansson 2-1 (1-0-1)

Jidkova and Szavay really work well as a doubles pairing and they showed why in the opening set as Jidkova put away the volleys while Szavay was strong from the baseline. In the second set Laine and Johansson got alot more chances as Szavay lost focus, Emma and Michaela took their chances and the 2nd set. Szavay played alot better and Jidkova also raised her level as they raced to the third set and the win.

Jidkova/Szavay Bt Arvidsson/Paszek 2-1 (1-0-1)

Szavay and Jidkova dominated the 1st and 3rd set with some extremly high quality doubles, Paszek and Arvidsson fell to their 3rd loss.

Laine/Johansson Bt Malek/Dementieva 2-0 (1-1-0)

Laine and Johansson played very well today with stunning volleys too much for Malek and Dementieva who looked very flat and out of form.
