:D

Left home and got to Ariake around 10:30 so several matches were already underway. It had started drizzling when I got there, but the matches on the outside courts were played anyway :tape: Also, the sun hasn't come out since last Thursday....typical Japan weather. David Ferrer was walking to the practice court as I came in so I followed him for a minute. On the next court Baltacha and Koukalova were just wrapping up a practice and I must say, Bally's coach is a stud muffin:devil: Kookie looked to be in her usually pissy bitchy moods so I snapped a couple pics and jetted. I also saw Wozniacki practicing a couple courts over and she damn near practiced ALL DAY!! :tape: This girl must eat and sleep tennis 24/7 lol. There was another blonde girl who was practicing, but I don't know her. I just called her bombshell. She wore a blue shirt, black shorts, and plays with a Babolat racquet. Gregorc and some asian dude started playing a match and it lasted for a long time. Gregorc was really trying out there, but lost eventually. It was a really long match.

So I walked around for a little bit and saw Sanguinetti playing I think some asian dude and he was working really hard too. I wasn't terribly interested in the match and decided to settle into the Dellacqua/Bremond match next to it. I thought I was going to be a good match, but Dellacqua had other plans  SHE WAS FIERCE!!! Casey had this really determined/focused look on her face the whole time and was ruthless with Bremond. Casey went for broke on every shot and they land in most of the time. Severine played the whole 1st set in defense mode and lost it 4/6 because of it. You could visibly see her dejection when the 2nd set started. Severine's 1st % was crap and she was less than half-hearted on her groundstrokes. All that was like fuel for Casey to keep burning :fiery: lol Casey gave her no chances with her ball bashing game. The 2nd set was over in no time and I'm not surprised Severine got bagelled. I took a pic of Severine at one of the changeovers that pretty much sums up her whole demeanor... And despite lookin' like a house out there, Casey's movement was on point ;) Great girl, I wish her luck and hope she goes deep in the tourney.

After that, Sanguinetti started shouting and throwing his racquet on the court next to us and I wasn't really in the mood so I left. Next, I watched the Baltacha/Grandin match and that wasn't too pleasing to watch. I really wanted Bally to win, but when she lost that 1st set doubt set in. Bally was working REALLY hard out there and put a lot into each shot. You could audibly hear her breathing heavy and she looked a mess. From start to finish, she wore the most pained expression on her face. She looked like someone killed her puppy. Oh and I'm assuming "Fuck" is her marquee phrase. From "fuck me" to "fuck you" to "fuck her," Bally said it all  Maybe it's a Brit thing??? Anyway, she lost the 1st set tiebreak due to going for low precentage shots, Grandin's steady forehand, and impatience. At one point, Bally's coach just flat out said, "Patience! :fiery:" lol. Bally was more than a bit apprehensive. But she mellowed out in the 2nd set and won it 6/4 I think. Now Grandin OTOH.... What can I say... SHE'S HUGE. She plays decent though. Doubles specialist maybe? Grandin pretty much has a steady forehand (which she opted to moonball with mostly :tape: ) and decent netskills. Grandy is like a brickwall, not much get's past her. To make this match a lot less stressful, Bally should've moved the big girl around a bit more and played more to Grandin's backhand. I left eventually (due to Grandin's moonball madness) and was glad to hear that Bally eventually won.

On an adjacent court, I saw a guy named Scherrer really NAILING THE BALL. I think he was playing an Asian dude as well. Scherrer has a powerful game and his backhand was astounding to watch!! Really flat, really hard, and really deep and all the while appearing effortless. That dude can really peg the ball with good timing. I hope he has a great career!!! Onto the backcourts, I couldn't get pass a mob of Japanese fans and see Hewitt and Lopez practicing. I took a quick snap of Hewitt and left. Lopez was mostly practicing his backhand. He looks kinda like Mauresmo..... I walked around a bit and saw Sela wrapping up a practice session. He's a lot better looking on TV......:tape:....lol On the next court, Flavia Pennetta was practicing was was joined by Sania and Mama Mirza. They must be close friends on the tour because they talked as such. Sania is really cute and Flavia is a Goddess up close.

After that, I went back to the practice courts near the entrance and saw none other than Wozniacki STILL PRACTICING!!! Asha Rolle and Gallovits came out too. I like watching Rolle's backhand and her legs too. She kepts saying, "extension" though. I dunno if she was talking about her backhand or if she needed to get her hair done?? Molik and Tanasugarn came out and Tammy was CUTE AS A BUTTON. Dominguez-Lino (aka weak-ass Spanish Mama -as coined by cheo  ) was on one of the backcourts. DL's forehand is physically painful to watch!!! :tape: It looks horrendous.....REALLY. So after that, I went to the coliseum and watched and ATP match, Fleishman/Nishikori and that was fair entertaining. Got some great pics too. Was great to see Fleisch pull it out.

After that Mirza/Morita came out. Mama Mirza, Pennetta and her coach were watching from the stands. Let me just say that Mirza was dazzling under the Coliseum lights. The first set was a 20 minute whirlwind that resulted in a bagel!!! Sania didn't even give the poor girl a chance to breathe!!! Sania's shots were deep and alternated from corner to corner. Not to mention, she was relentless on serve too. An absolute beast!!!! After the 1st set, Morita took a bathroom break (or maybe got hooked up to a defibrillator?) and I guess that took some of the steam out of Sania because Sania played like crap after that :tape: Maybe Sania realized that she didn't need to play her best to beat Morita so she took her foot off the gas pedal. Morita did come out swinging though and kudos to her for making the 2nd set more competitive. Mirza won it 6/4 though.

After that, I watched a bit of the Kookie/Nakamura match, but wasn't too in to it. It was a bit late and I had to catch the train. Kookie is really pretty and greatly fit.....with a bitchy attitude too.....:o Typical WTA diva? Well that's about it!! Below is a link to the pics, I'll have to upload the video clips later ;) These pictures are free for all, no need to reference me or anything!! ENJOY!! :D

By the way, Scherrer is on the closing chapters of his career already... he's 29, and these recent years he's been plagued with injuries.

By the way, Scherrer is on the closing chapters of his career already... he's 29, and these recent years he's been plagued with injuries. Are you serious!?!? With a backhand like that  That makes me sad. I think his backhand was amazing! I wish him well for the duration of his career!!

Baltacha's coach :eek:Exactly! And for a while he kept staring at me...which led me to flatter myself :smash::lol: He's a great looking guy though and very supportive of Bally :)

Bombshell???

Klara is not a diva, she is the cutest thing off the court. :hearts:I second the latter  But the former is a bit questionable :hehehe: Have you met her in person?? Her attitude (rolling of the eyes namely) leaves a bit to be desired :tape:;)
