This is the best field in a wta tournament in a long time. I hope Sveta has recovered and is ready to play, its a tough draw but i think she can do well. Vamos Sveta.

Yes, I hope Sveta is fit. It is a high-quality draw. I was amazed to see that certain high-quality players are unseeded, but then spotted that only the top four seeds have been indicated in the draw as given above. GO SVETA!!!

Great result! I didn't really expect Sveta to beat Serena, let alone in two sets (call me a pessimist...). But hopefully now she can beat Tatiana, then will have a tilt at either Justine or Jelena in the final. GO SVETA !!!

I was a pessimist too with her coming from injury and eveything but she did soo well .hope the match against Tati goes well .

So proud of Sveta's performance against Serena she was outstanding, probably one of her best ever performances, i think its hard to come back less than 18 hours later and play Tati after such an emotional high last night. Recover well Sveta, Go for the title in Moscow :)
