i cant see her losing to sromova, even if shes playing horribly. neither can i see her losing to poutchkova who is probably the worst player in the top 150 at the moment... she may however lose to a good qualie if shes not playing well... hmm...

CMON LEASH!:)

true... but u have to admit, looking at this draw, it is as close to a perfect draw as she could have got... whether she uses the draw or not will be a different story.

Considering she lost to Mel South just before Wimbledon and has had plenty of other bad losses, it's hard to have any confidence for her singles game at the moment.

Good Luck to her

This is such a poor draw and I see it really as a last chance to salvage something from this year. I live in Hong Kong and if she progresses I am going to fly to Guangzhou to support her. I might leave Friday night. Do not need to be at work util that Tuesday

I have just read what I have posted. I think I mean poor field. She should really do well and play herself in.

She's playing Sromova 2nd match on Court 3. Good luck to her, please impress us.

No doubles this week for Alicia says she is going to concentrate 100% on singles because she knows now is the time she needs to step up or she drops out of top 100 again.

yes it is :woohoo: now she will face julie ditty, a qualifier. ditty has been playing well of late as she played in the qualies in bali & beijing & qualified each time. she lost to davenport each time once she was in the main draw.

Ditty took 3 sets to beat Poutchkova and dropped the second 6-2 so Alicia has her chances, she just needs to move her legs and oh, i dunno, PLAY TENNIS.

Good luck Alicia :)

I really believe this could be the beginning of a Molik revival. I think she can and will beat Ditty (hopefully in 2). If she does this then she would be in a quarter final once again. With some smaller, weaker tournaments on Alicia's short term agenda, she could hopefully also win a couple of matches in each of them and get on a roll for the Aussie circuit...

She should have had the momentum in the second set, she was 40-15 up on Cibulkova's serve and then lost it. And that set just went away, I stopped watching at 2-1 in the third set so I am pretty disappointed. Ohwell keep this 'form' up for the rest of the year please:), does anybody know where she is playing next?

Keadz
Sep 29th, 2007, 12:46 AM
Oh but she came back from 2 breaks down in the first set to win it:)

Sep 29th, 2007, 12:48 AM
lish did have the momentum & she should of capitalised. ah well, still a good result for her to make the quarters in this event.

I agree. There were some positive signs here. She could have completely fallen away in the third set after losing the second so badly but instead she fought hard which was great. Cibilkova won a set against Razzano subsequently which showed she was in good form as Razzano had been winning all her matches very easily. Good luck in Japan to all the Aussies.
