It's a pretty decent draw for Lindsay if she isn't too tired. Though the idea of her playing Lena D still makes me nervous even if Lena is having a bad year. :p

I wonder who the qualifer will be...

This is great draw for Lindsay after playing in the Bali final tomorrow she doesn't want to have a challenging match in the first round in China. Even though she's in the draw I just hope this forearm injury she's got isn't too serious.

It does look a kinder draw than Bali did but look what she pulled off. :worship:

She has some potentially tricky customers to deal with. Daniilidou will be out for revenge, Paszek is an up-and-coming young player with tremendous heart, Lena D is an old nemesis and the if she gets through that it will be Jele J again who I think will have learned her lesson and will put the practice in. :bounce:

But they will all be fearing Lindsay after this week. This is sooooooo exciting to have her back. The butterflies are back.:yippee:

SO excited, and good draw... after getting tough draws in NH and Bali, I thought for sure she'd get Sveta or JJ 2nd round here

I worry about her getting tired, but she should atleast get to the QFs, which would be great anyways :D

If she plays the final tomorrow and leaves tomorrow night then she won't be scheduled til tuesday, hopefully have an easy match [who's in the quali draw?] and then another easy-ish one against Eleni and then hopefully she won't have exerted herself too much for Elena or Paszek.

I have been a Lindsay fan for years. The one thing in her career that I have always believed is that she plays her best when nobody really expects things of her. Although she has alittle ways to go to get back to the top of the game, nobody is expecting anything too crazy yet in her comeback, which I think will help her tremendously come next year. Lindsay plays her best (Like anybody really) when there is no pressure and there is nothing to lose, if you remember back to her slams she really wasn't expected to win either the us open or wimbledon when she was in the finals. Anyhow good luck Linds, its so great to see a classy American back on the tour. I think the sky is the limit next year:worship:

I think Salerni's quite talented but loses to people I can't imagine how she would... but thats not to do with Lindsay. But, yeah, GO LINDSAY DEE!

I want Lindsay to do well in Beijing but now that she has won Bali, I won't be upset if she loses early. And she's certainly tired after this week. Do we know which qualifer Lindsay will play in the first round?

I think Lindsay has great chances to reach at least the semi-final,
Dementieva or Paszek are both beatable for Lindsay. ;)
So Iīm looking forward to another match against Jelena Jankovic.
And if not, it doesnīt matter, a great comeback anyway. :woohoo:

Maybe it looks like a decent draw, but nothing better than that!
Lindsay will be TIRED for sure. She's still fresh obviously, but she played 5 singles and 2 doubles matches in 7 days. That's a lot for a young mother.;)

Let's hope Lindsay stays relaxed, healthy and that she gets some sleep while little Jagger wakes up his nanny in the middle of the night:p Another match vs Janko would be tricky, but before that we have either LenaD or Tamira who are very dangerous opponents on this type of surface they have in Beijing, cause it's slower than the hardcourt in Bali, ball bounces higher etc, what doesn't help Lindsay's style of play that much...
After all we cannot forget that this is not only a thunderous comeback, but it already exceeded all expectations!:D

This just gets better and better! Come on Lindsay!! Another tought test with JJ looms potentially in the semi but if she gets past this one she could meet Momo in the final. Way to go Lindsay! I caught the end of her match against Dementieva today on EuroCrap - Lindsay was awesome...well, the last 3 games I saw. It was good to see her again and you know, she looks really happy!

I just been to the China Open website and on the OOP for tomorrow, they have the semi on first but have the match-up down as "Jankovic vs. Dementieva". Haha, so confusing...I was like, "I'm sure I saw Lindsay beat her this morning". I wish Lindsay wasn't always playing the early match...not sure if I can be bothered to get up at 5.30am or whatever unearthly time it is on a Saturday morning, UK time.

I only watched a live score but I was impressed with Lindsay's fight. I hope on this form she will play at least one if not two more tournament before the end of the year not only to get her ranking up but to build on the form she has shown here and in Bali. LindsayfanTV

:worship: who was the umpire?

I think Lindsay was annoyed that Jelena smacked a ball after she lost a service game and it nearly hit her. She thought the umpire should have said something and said to her "Why did you not say something? We are not children"

But then, she seemed to get angry about Jelena holding up play.

A shame the fairy tale come back ended like that ~ Lindsay looked like she had picked up an injury. But you cannot take anything away from the way she has played since her return. The woman is a legend. Roll on Quebec!

She had to get too tired sometime though. I'm still amazed at Lindsay's return to the sport. She's played great these two weeks and I hope that with more practice she'll be back to her old self again even more. (And hopefully, will beat Jelena again :p)
