Has ever a Tennis Player given their Racquet to a FAN

Well does any one knw abt this being true or its just fake,it has nvr happened.

I remember an exhibition match in Spain 2 years ago between Martina, Nadia, Conchita and Vivi and all of them gave their raquets to fans.
I was there :D

My Dad got a racquet from an unknown player when he was young. Not that he was a fan.. :p

I've seen broke racquets given away at this US Open.

Marat gave his raquet to a fan during his match against Rafa in Montreal.

Kournikova wiped her nose with a tissue and gave it to a ballboy for him to throw it in the trash, but he just stuffed it into his pockets instead

I saw Hingis throw her racket into the stands after winning the Australian Open. Don't know who caught it, but Cliff Drysdale said something like "That fan now has something he will keep forever."

I think I have see other players do the same thing, but I can't cite and specific examples.

I think Martina threw one into the crowd after the 1999 AO final, or I just dreamed it. I'm not sure.

Becker threw is racquet in the crowd after winning US Open 1989 and Marat Safin this summer in Montreal gave the racquet he just had broken...to a fan...

Hingis threw all (or most) of her racquets to the crowd when she won the 97 US Open.

I've seen Roddick this year give his racquet to a fan who was disabled.

And the Frenchies (Clement and Llodra) who won men's doubles at Wimbledon last year gave away all their raquets - an their shirts - to the crowd (Llodra and Santoro tossed everything but their knickers to the crowd when they won the Oz doubles)

Jelena was not playing well in LA last summer and she decided to switch rackets.... There was a very LOUD Serbian cheering section that day so she ran over and gave the dejected racket to the Serb fans. The Serbians cheered even louder and Jelena won!!!

I've only seen a male player Andy Roddick give his to a disabled boy at Queens.

At wimbledon this year, i was walking around the grounds and i saw some girl about 13 years old with a shiny K-Factor in her hand, she was smiling so hard so im guessing a player gave her it. :lol:

Serena and VEnus gave rackets away on the tour. Also at the 91 YEC champs Monica gave her racket awayt to a fan after signing their autograph.

Some dude threw his racquet and it hit a uy in the crowd at wimbly this year, then gave it to him... we saw him walking up the street, was only when we watched the days round up on tv that we realised where he'd acquired it, lol...

Also I think Amélie threw her racquet into the crowd when she made the final of wimbledon last year...

Misa Krajicek has given one of her racquets to a fan of hers (no, not me), and she even wrote something on it for him on the handle! :)
